He is exactly what we needed at the time. His first season really was brilliant. I remember we were 2-1 down against the [Poor language removed] and he took a defender off for deal boy at half time. That 2nd half we seriously battered them, they couldn't get out of their half. We then went to arsenal and completely suffocated them by playing football.

I'd rather remember that first season than what happened in the end. Wonder what would have happened if we were bought at the end of that first season and he had been given money?

He had.

Spent big on Lukaku, Niasse, McCarthy and Funes Mori. He had more money to spend than Moyes but obviously less than Koeman.

Who? You mean your idol Martinez? A lot less no a bit less yes. The market has since inflated. Moyes had a lot less to spend than your idol Martinez though.

Look at the Belgium squad, an ordinary manager would win the WC with them.

Based off what exactly?

There are other teams who want to win it too...
 
Am genuinely curious to see how Belgium play in Russia next year. In World Cup Finals, priority #1 seems to be to not concede, especially after the group stage.

Belgium under Martinez will be nothing if not entertaining, I'm sure.
