This kid seems to be our very own Lucas leiva.... the longer he’s injured the better he becomes apparently... 2 more weeks and the lad will be world class I’m guessing

People are pining for the days of Richard gough and Craig short due to the current donkey sanctuary that is our central defence so obviously we'd like to see Holgate available

He’s quick, and good on the ground, but when balls get lobbed in the air he struggles, because he gets out muscled. All about opinions though mate, so enlighten me.

I'd have agreed with you when he first started getting game time but think he's worked on it loads and he's also grown a couple of inches.

My biggest criticism of him was he wasn't so strong or great in the air but I mentioned to @Eggs when he went through that solid run with Williams he'd improved both massively.

He's gotten a lot stronger. Thought he was decent on the defensive side in the air. No real set piece threat though.

I'd start him in a 3 but not a 2...still has some growing to do in pretty much all aspects. Would not be starting in a 2, under better circumstances. Just needs some more time but I like him, he's got the right attitude for a CB.

Was good in a 2 last season and that's with Williams beside him. With a proper leader and defender beside him we should be set

I do think he will establish himself this season. I've been impressed with him since he first appeared for us .

No where near finished article so any whopper saying he gets better just because he’s injured are numpties.

We want players who can still improve. He’s certainly that. And now has a proper coach in Silva to help that.

He’s 21! Give him a break
