Was our player of the year a few seasons back. Another player we have ruined - even this season he has had no minutes, rusty as hell, thrown in to right back and got sent off. Thrown in again last minute at left back today against the best team in the land. Hiding to nothing.

Could see he was devestated on the bench after being booed off…then people calling him mentally weak etc on here when they don’t know him from adam and we have a full blown mental health thread on the forum.

He’s just another player horrendously mis managed and not given the chance to play at his best imo. Yep, probably not good enough - just like Godfrey,maupay, Keane etc …but this club is a nightmare for any player to succeed.
 
When you can see the play unfolding and the worlds most efficient chance taker right in front of you, 20 years of defensive training should, you would think, make you step 1 metre forwards before the cross even comes in and put a body against the striker. Alas, he looked surprised by the whole event. Looked confused and terrified from minute 1.

A few of the worst games in their careers from him and Godfrey in recent weeks, and at the time I feel hatred for them. But I can’t help wince seeing anyone having to walk off the pitch to that response and sit with their colleagues and in front of the crowd who have all watched you birth a massive turd of a performance. He looked mortified. Which is good.

Players like those 2 need to just do one in summer, probably to a lower level, and try and rebuild a career, but this time with much lower expectations, much lower salaries and a more realistic view of their abilities.

Well said mate, I felt sorry for him today, to be thrown in against the best team in the world at a position that is not his natural one and getting booed, probably the same clowns who booed Lukaku Stones, gave DCL grief, its out of order

Guy has had a million chances and hasn’t taken them. He’s just not good enough and never has been.
 

Not his fault that he is not up to standard in whatever his preferred position might be and if that is in defence then I have to reiterate to him he’s not cutting it. Poor from the manager.

Was looking good again after his last run in the team before he was injured or suspended (can’t remember which). Anyone booing a player who’s been chucked in last minute against Mahrez is a bloater.

Watch Davies when he first broke through. He’s a completely different player. With some consistent coaching and an actually development plan he would have had a much better chance of becoming a top player.

We’ve been criminally mismanaged from top to bottom for a decade now. No surprise plenty of youngsters want away first chance they get.
