I’m willing to take a gentleman’s bet. We won’t be challenging top 6 but I’m confident we’re not going to be fighting relegation.
Last game of the season I'll happily buy you a pint in the ground or a local if we haven't been in the bottom 5 or getting punted out the league.
I've never felt this low entering a season ever. I genuinely hope I'm wrong but not one iota of optimism is flowing through my veins this year.

I get it mate, I hate most of the players in this team.

I watched Iwobi as an Arsenal player on the F2 freestylers YouTube channel and laughed at how crap he was compared to them and we then sign him a year later for stupid amounts of money.

We still have enough in the squad to be okay.

I will buy you 6 pints if we are in relegation trouble at the end of the season as we will both need it?

People who were there say the opposite and it was reported on.
In the top tier, when we went 2 down there was one chant of fat Spanish waiter followed by laughing and one of sacked in the morning which was about half the people of the first song

as previously stated, the song about Carlo dying is not for me and shouldn’t be associated by our fan base and needs cutting out immediately

Out of interest could anyone in the away end hear the top tier singing as I could see people looking up but didn’t know what they could hear or see

Yeah, said it in another thread, but, this is the first time I've ever gone into a new season without an ounce of blind hope or optimism, they've finally broken me, just going for the social aspect now, dearest bevvy ever ?

It's like some (many) of you are happiest when we are crap. The glee in some of these posts
Where you see glee I see anger, frustration and resignation.

I'm still in sad mode personally so I'm too busy feeling sorry for myself to get too worked up about things.

My head is telling me that it's been a very disruptive start to the season with various competitions, a new manager, a frustrating transfer window, not to mention non football related incidents. Plus there's nearly 3 weeks to the transfer window ending, so it's going to be 4-5 games into the season before things settle down.

But there are 3 things that concern me. What I've seen thus far has been very poor. No arguments. It's been the same negative slow predictable football that we got used to for most of last season. And we have a fixture list that gives us an ideal opportunity for a flying start to the season. Miss out on that and we could already be in trouble going into a tough run of fixtures in the Autumn.
