Those figures are exactly the same as Fulham were reportedly offering a week ago.
Taken at face value it appears we are matching Fulham and relying on the player favouring us.

Clearly can't afford it up front so are spreading the cost. Anyway let's see the Mail isn't the most reliable source

I think release clauses have to be met in full.

Hence it costing more if you wish to negotiate for instalments.

Get out clauses usually only represent the minimum offer the club is bound accept, thereafter the club is entitled to accept the best offer above that amount.
