Oh yes.
we're doomed. Doomed to hell.
That's better.
Can't believe we've signed Mo Farrah. Unreal.

Oh yes.
we're doomed. Doomed to hell.
I resent that. Enormously.This is like Christmas for you after yesterday Dave.
No it really isn't that - the problem is what Meis believes constitutes the 'intimacy' of the ground. His view may be entirely different to ours.
It's not a matter of trust; it's more a matter of logic and math. You couldn't fit a running track inside Goodison, so how do you replicate what Goodison is by including one?
All the bold bits in Joe Anderson's letter created solely to pre-empt/curb the concerns;
1. Tell us the 'How' because as we were saying before the letter, and as @roydo captured in this thread;
2. What do the club get from compromising/working around the challenge of athletics to accommodate Liverpool's 2022 bid? What is the benefit to Everton to host/support the bid?
If the two questions are answered, I sit on my hands until we see the designs.
Until then, you have to ask the questions...
So, the architecht, the club and now the mayor all state that they want the stands to be close to the pitch and intimidating and nothing will compromise that, but yet somehow they are all lying? Right
bottom line - there's no way it will have four steep raked stands.
how could you fit a running track in juve's new stadium for example?
How's the design and planning gonna work in this current uncertainty? Decision on the host of CWG not due to be made until the end of the year.
Will we have to have 2 designs running simultaneously, in the event that Liverpool does/doesn't get the nod?
Surely this adds uncertainty to design, timings, coatings etc.
No, it's actual maths against his word.
That doesn't add up.
- Goodison Park is 100x68m pitch size.
- 100x68m cannot fit a 400m athletics track.
- Meis has said a track can be installed and not compromise intimacy.
- Anderson says the aim is to 'replicate' what Goodison offers.
I'm not assuming it's going to be crap; I simply want an answer to how they expect the numbers to add up, because what they are saying and, on the surface, what they are doing are two completely different things.
I'm sure it is, but that would still result in a very shallow "plate" like design that bulbs in and out, dissipating the atmosphere.
That is not a purpose built stadium for football - it'd be like the Etihad but with retractable seats. Some may say that's not a bad thing, but that's not the point, as it would not be 'replicating' the intimacy of Goodison, and that's the word Anderson has used.
Or one design but featuring different technologyHow's the design and planning gonna work in this current uncertainty? Decision on the host of CWG not due to be made until the end of the year.
