If it was fixed, then that makes Manny a fraud too.
 
How was he robbed? I was watching in Manila and NO ONE thought he was close to winning...

I think your right if the fight did,nt pan out the way it did, but i still think it was in the interest of the WBO to keep this cash cow alive.

Mayweather clearly won the fight, he landed the most punches, most percentage of punches, was hit the least and was missed the most.

Just because Manny showed intent to go for the KO doesn't mean he deserved the win.

your opinion is valid, he can be boring to watch these days but he doesn't have to do that anymore as he can win fights like he does now

and why should the man put himself in danger of serious injury to satisfy the bloodlust of casuals, bam bam rios is a stand and trade type and he's already slurring, only about 30 aswell.

Spot on, the thing with title fights is attracts people who want movie style fights, they want a balboa v creed fight every time.

manny was too quick to be knocked down, that was what Mayweather wanted.
 
Can't see there being a rematch. A unanimous points decision in favour of one guy with no controversy and the traditional friendly embrace afterwards doesn't really lend itself to an anticipated rematch now.
 

The problem is that when a fighter is so "text book" with NO weaknesses they can make a mockery out of a fight and win it on their own terms without breaking a sweat if need be. Mayweather is insufferable. Nobody is good enough to make him come to a war. Only Kostya Tszyu was good enough to defeat mayweather but mayweather didn't want a bar of the Russian assassin. Floyd can prance around and finish a fight unscathed. Every time.

I respect that he's untouchable.

In a "Parallel universe" Floyd mayweather DID fight Kostya Tszyu after the Mitchell II fight and Kostya destroyed Mayweather into retirement. Believe me it happened :)

(unfortunately in this reality Mayweather ran from Kostya Tzsyu and as such is still undefeated)

Though thats whats wrong with boxing, they never give the Fighter a Chance, its always the Boxer FFS!! Frazier, Duran, Predroza never took a step backwards.

Yet were screwed over by judges that never got near a ring in their lives.

I,ve fought amatuer in my youth, on the Irish national squad 78 and we were always trained to press forward relentlessly, and yes i never got the nod from a judge even tough i battered my opponant. Ah well.
 
Mayweather masterclass. Manny couldnt implement his combinations as mayweather would either move, hold or hit him on the way in with a backhand. I thought he made manny look ordinary and manny was suppose to be his biggest challenge. Dela hoya was his hardest fight to date. I hope he fights khan next.
 
I tried to book the fight on our pay per view but couldn't get through - they complicate what should be a simple click on process in Oz - but
I'm glad, now.
There was absolutely no other coverage here, at least, not that I could find, and I followed it on this thread. It didn't sound too much, so I
reckon I've saved $60.
I wanted to see FM out inside the distance, TKO preferably, cos he's an arrogant ...., and even a point win for Manny wouldn't have done
it for me.
