Mayweather v Pacquiao - CONFIRMED

It's boxing, not street brawling. It's a sport, not mindless bloodsport.

Mayweather is like Chelsea in the league this season. Ugly, cynical but downright unbeatable. He controlled the fight from start to finish, and for anyone possibly ridiculous enough to think Manny won, Mayweather landed almost twice as many punches. Not bad for someone who just 'runs away'.

I loathe Mayweather. He's just completely unlikeable. But it's not the X-Factor. Ability matters and when it comes to downright ability, he's the best in the world.

Mayweather lacks the aggression and desire to finish his opponents in 12 rounds. So whilst being a brilliant boxer and one that people look at as a great for me this takes a little bit away from him.

He's a better boxer than a brawler.

The problem is that, much like football, some people think there's a "right" way to do it. As far as I'm concerned, if you act within the confines of the law, then anything is fine. You just need to win. And there is no one on the planet who can touch Mayweather when it comes to winning.

Quite right and as Champion it's all he needs to do, I fully understand that. De La Hoya Is Quoted on BBC saying"call Me old school but I Like fans to get their money's worth by watching an action packed fight, I like jumping out of my seat because a fight is existing" I think I'm with him on this. Floyd just isn't that exciting to watch.

Do you think Manny, and countless others Mayweather has faced, could not do what Mayweather does, back peddling and punching on the counter.

He was [Poor language removed] scared of Manny last night, there were times Manny can forward quick to get close and Mayweather was jumping back out his way.

It's my opinion, I'm entitled to it, and I say Mayweather is no great in my eyes, if you got two Mayweathers in a ring there would be no fight.

I agree mate. I think he's dull to watch, even as someone who admires his technical ability.

But he's a winner first, not an entertainer.

I watched it back again just now and on 2nd viewing it seemed a lot closer. I can see how some would think Pacquiao won, we all bring a bit of bias on first viewing. Before the fight I felt that the only way Manny would win was by KO and because he didn't really land any bombs I probably didn't give him the credit for a lot of shots he landed.

On reflection, Mayweather didn't really do enough in some of the rounds and it was fairly even up to round 10 but he took the last 2.

In summary; it was a passionless effort, like watching an ovulating middle aged couple trying for a baby.

Harry, my point is judges usually choose the boxer over the fighter, its when they have to choose between two boxers or two fighters then their job becomes complicated.

Just saying like.[/Q

He is fightig ellite boxers every fight. Not easy to knock them out.

Dont know why your post is on ray, this response is to nev.

Don't know anything about BOXING other than it described as the "art of hitting without getting hit" and that Mayweather has been without peer. You may not like him, but he is the best BOXER in the world, by quite some margin.
