Media Bias and its effect if any on Overall Outcome.

i don’t the media overall are biased towards us but Sky I believe really do

Just a glorified LFCTV channel and one of the reasons why I refuse to buy any of their channels
There is a bias imo. And it all comes from the Liverpool Ex players bias in the media And on the radio, everywhere you turn there‘s an ex red
just look at one of our last games on sky, Souness & redknapp in the studio Carragher on commentary. Says it all. We will never ever see that in our life time, when Liverpool play. Even if it’s Utd ex players in the studio on one of there games.

As bitter rivals, you only have to listen to the likes of Danny Murphy or Souness to see the bias. And I honestly think that some of the new ex players to TV & Radio just tow the party line, and are not going to criticise Liverpool when a couple of ex reds are sitting next to them.

There's clearly a huge bias in the media.
Not only in the hugely imbalanced number of ex RS pundits knocking around, but also in how they are presented.

Just spotted this on the BBC live feed of today's games.

Don Hutchison, he of well over 100 games over 2 spells at West Ham (amongst several other clubs), commentating on West Ham.... and labelled as..... ex-Liverpool. Seriously?!?!

There's really no justification or reason for the BBC to do so.

Obviously they should have referenced his time at West Ham but pretty sure he’s gone on the record to say he preferred being at Everton to Liverpool as well.

As far as media bias goes, I feel like after that VVD witch hunt we can't get a decision in our favor. I mean, cavani choking yerry infront of the ref gets him a smile and pat on the back. Also chelsea and arsenal should've had a player less iirc. Fernandes intentionally shoving and injuring richy... It's like all teams have a permission to stomp us, while our players get carded for anything a bit harsher. I mean, we get deserved cards, but other teams get away with it against us. Selective justice is just bs.

Media bias really does hurt us. It influences the discussions in the football diaspora.

The pressure on officials after the Derby was mad. It will definitely impact the ref in the next Derby.

it also means that bad decisions against us are not properly raised or analysed. Eg the VVD reaction v the Gomes reaction.

unfortunately though, we just have to live with it. It’s never going to change.

You know, it's absolutely correct to say there is media bias - the media is biased in favour of any of the "properties" that allow them to make money from football. Since the dawn of the PL, that has not included us. Why? Because we've been mismanaged to the point of underachievement and paupery. So, yes, it is infuriating to see us dismissed, but we did this to ourselves with the way we were run for 25 years. Run us properly, appoint the best managers, sign the sexiest Colombian, build the best stadium, and win trophies and they'll be fawning all over us like they briefly did for a few years in the 80s.

Yes, the ineptitude and mismanagement of the club over the last 25 years is criminal and has certainly harmed our PR profile no end.

But it still doesn’t explain how and why ex RS players with their biased views have pretty much cornered the pundit market- even in relation to other so-called “Big 4” clubs. It’s astounding.
