Media Bias and its effect if any on Overall Outcome.

The media bias for me is based on the brand. The tv rights are worth 5 billion and they weren't sold on 20 teams they were sold on 6. The yawn 6. If you ever tune into a foreign stream youll know this. The coverage is disgraceful when one of them are playing one of the 14 others.

Look at the supposed unbias build up to us v arsenal. The media all week have been trying to work out how they can get back on track.

I know this sounds like nonsense but its been said publicly. When fergie left the mancs and gollum took over they were in around 11th, the PL cheif openly said that it was bad for the PL brand for man u to be that low.

Its not a level playing field. Its geared towards the 6 that the foreign markets want to watch. The medias agenda is based off this.

The fact we are the RS city rivals just compounds this
Top Post.
Nobody is interested in watching West Brom v Fulham in the far east & beyond.
I'd go as far to say it's only the old SKY top 4 that they are interested in:
United. Liverpool. Arsenal & Chelsea. The whole media ito completely & totally
biased towards the first two teams mentioned without any shadow of doubt.

One of the few times we have a former player as pundit (Osman) you would think he’d make more of point that Cavani shouldn’t even have been on the pitch and failing to call out Fernandes push that finished Richarlison for what it was, not to mention the rest of crap ref decisions.... regardless of whether we were crap or not (we were) I expect our former players to make as much fuss about us being hard done by as we have to put up with the from the usual ar5eholes that do the commentary.....

Agreed, at least Tim Cahill still wears his heart on his sleeve a bit. I would imagine most ex-Everton pundits are advised not to rock the boat too much mind

Just watching SSN.. Question: what team can challenge Liverpool?
Answer: United or City maybe Chelsea if they get their act together.
Ya know any team except the team in second place at almost the half way point.
Do they mean challenge in the title or challenge them in increasing their (Sky's) viewing figures? As others have pointed out, we don't fit the profile they desire.

I don't expect anything less from the mainstream media nor does it really bother me apart from how it'll potentially limit our larger sponsorship opportunities.

If we want to be taken seriously, we need to challenge consistently and importantly win something; look at Spurs and how they've became media darlings.

Just watched it myself, it’s funny
Sky league table if they could. Although I’m sure it what they show to there pundits

1.Liverpool
3.Leicester
4.United

It’s like we don’t exsist

It’s not media bias to think other sides will finish above us. When Spurs are bringing Bale on to play left wing, we are bringing Jonjoe Kenny on.
Top 6 would be an amazing season.

It's pretty annoying but it's probably right tbf. Anyone could look at the squad available to us and then look at the teams available to the likes of City and United and know that we simply won't be in the equation by the end of the year. We have done absolutely brilliantly so far but, realistically, there are far better and deeper squads within touching distance who will eventually overtake us. I always think we'll win every match at kickoff, but pragmatically speaking, we're just not in the hunt yet. There's no harm in admitting it

With the best will in the world, if I don’t see us mounting a title challenge then I can hardly be annoyed when neutrals don’t either. We’re doing really well and if we’re still in this position in 10 games time maybe I’ll think differently, but right now I’d see top 6 as a really good effort and top 4 as an unbelievable achievement.
