Missed my bus by 5 minutes so I have a 55 minute wait for the next one. Luckily there is a pub next door to the bus stop.

It's a Wetherspoons that has recently reopened after a 4 month refurb. Looks exactly the same as far as I'm concerned so I asked the barmaid (are you still allowed to use that term) what had been done and she said everything. Cal always said I never noticed anything. Guess she was right?

Anyway it's my first pint out for about 2 months and I'm really enjoying it. Just the 1 though. G&T Friday tonight.

Yeah. Sunday. The neighbours are away on a cruise so I'll be spending it on my own which isn't ideal. But I'll be celebrating her birthday. I bought a nice fillet steak today which was always Cal's go to dish on celebratory meals and I'll have one or two Margaritas, her fave cocktail.

Hello all. Due to a lack of communication between Mr F and the daughter I have two birthday cakes. Both very delicious and chocolatey. Mr F and the daughter profess to be ' not a fan of chocolate cake' ( is she even related to me) So today I have mostly ate cake. Cup of coffee, slice of cake, repeat. Its days like this I could do with being in the office pre pandemic so I could share!

God I love mangetout. Mangetout in Oyster sauce is my go to Chinese side dish to cook.

As a side note just watching Amanda Holden on the One show and she looks like a pilchard. Why do they do it.
