Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning all, hope everyone is having a good start to the weekend? Mine started with a nice day off yesterday so could go to the gym outside of peak time which was brilliant, then walk around the shops a bit. Today I'm off to the DIY shop to do some stuff for my bathroom. Quite enjoyable so far as my previous 2 weekends were basically wiped out with bad hangovers lol

Welcome @Rich B from a fellow southerner who's also quite new to this thread.

@Terrarian great to read that things are going better and long may it continue ;)

I've been meaning to ask you - what did you think of Bilbao? It was you who went there wasn't it? *Fingers crossed I've got the right person *

Yes it was me lol

It was great, I loved it. Managed to pack in quite a lot into the two days I was there. Highlights for me were the football match and Athletic Bilbao's museum (found a couple of references to Howard Kendall in there), the old town, Guggenheim and Getxo. I liked the Pintxos but found them a bit stodgy after a while and don't think I ate a full meal the whole time I was there.

I love Spain generally and will try to go back there this year, maybe Valencia next. But next up for me is Krakow in a month's time.

I'm so glad you liked it.

Good morning.

just had a nice walk around the fields, we haven't been since last year as it's too muddy, Daisy managed to have a good run off her lead with a little Scotty terrier, which was nice for her to stretch her legs.

ran into one of my oldest friends who lives near me and has only seen the not right me, i even told him at one point if he thinks I have gone weird, I have lol But I'm feeling the best I have in months these last 2 or 3 days, so managed to have a proper conversation this time.

Daisy gave me a heart attack last night, she was on long lead and was extended full as she was mooching in the fields, then across the road she spotted the owner of her best mate Cody and before I knew it, she just ran straight across the road to say hello. It is an extremely busy road and I shat myself, so so lucky nothing was coming.

She doesn't have any road sense at all. no matter how many times we do, stop and wait at kerbs, she doesn't do it, almost like she relies on me to keep her getting run over.

Anyway, enough waffle, have a good day people. Everton for the win.

You sound great mate. Really good to see. And take care of Daisy, even if it means a shorter leash. You'd be lost without her T.

I really do feel totally different these last few days. I assume you can all tell by my posts. It's really hard to explain how different I feel even from last weekend.

I'm hoping it continues for as long as possible, it's horrible being on your arse, wanting to shut the world out.

Absolutely will be more careful with Daisy, even though that's the first time in 6 years of having her, I really did get a shock, I normally pull the lead in when any other dogs or roads are around because she always wants to say hello to everyone and not everyone's dogs are friendly. Little monkey she is.

Naughty Daisy. Nice you bumped into your friend and had a decent chat. It's all sounding very positive for you. Hope it carries on.

Morning all, light rain early this morning but sun shining now. We are going to a 40th birthday party and barbecue this afternoon so thermals on as it will be a bit chilly, just hope the rain keeps away. As the others have said it is so good to hear you sounding so positive @Terrarian. Our son’s dogs have those retractable leads and I’m so worried that the catch will slip and they will be out in the road before we know it. I usually wrap the lead round my hand if we are near traffic which has the effect of cutting the blood supply off to my fingers. lol Have a good day all and enjoy the 21st party @anjelikaferrett.💙

What ever you have done keep doing it as it shows by your posts ,as said you must keep Daisy on tighter leash but getting out walking and feeling better is great T.

I haven't done anything different, the meds got increased to 350mg, maybe that's the right dosage at last. All I know is I feel like a black fog has lifted, it's been a while.
