Have a great sunday everyone. I hope everyone feels a little bit better today, compared to yesterday. That's all we ask really.

Do you remember Michael Fish's weather forecast the night before the hurricane? He said a viewer had called the BBC to warn a hurricane was on the way, but he said not to worry, there isn't. He never lived it down.In 1987 I worked in Croydon. The journey from Maidenhead was exactly 50 miles. It took me about 3 hours to get to Croydon by car (left home at 6 am). Kept having to change routes because of fallen trees. There were about 5 people in the office out of about 60 or 80. Most of whom lived locally. My boss phoned from London and asked how many staff were in and he was not impressed when I told him. He didn't say 'well done' to me though!

He later did an updated version.
We moved away from Liverpool in 1951 just as Everton were relegated to the second division. So wouldn't have seen them play Brentford and Brentford were never in the old First Division.Morning Messy, Fred and the gang.
The wind has completely dropped today, both outside and inside. It's a lovely sunny day in Kent, so I'll see if the missus fancies a pre-match walk. She won't be watching the match, as she has zero interest in footy. Lucky her! My Evertonian son will watch though, away at Uni, and we always text each other during the match.
Hope you're ok Messy, and you manage to get to see the match later. I'm a bit concerned about it with all the injuries we're having.
@Methuselah do you remember the last time we played Brentford in the league? Must have been in the old 2nd division in 1954.
Oh, and curry for breakfast is just plain wrong, you monsters! ?
Looks lovely Sassy , your daughter is very lucky.Good morning @messymascot and fellow Blues. I was hoping that we had heard from you, Karl. Or from @Reedy1979 so I’m starting to feel more concerned about you. Maybe today that’s match day you get to toss us a line and let us know your prediction. We miss you so much!
As I anticipated, yesterday was a super busy day but we managed to get our house spotless clean and decorated for Christmas. I’m specially proud of how my daughter’s room turned out. I hanged snowflakes from the ceiling and decorated her window with string lights to make it more festive at night. It is hard to appreciate on the pic but the floating snowflakes makes her room feel like a winter wonderland We also got a Christmas tree from a local farm and it smells amazing, one of my favorite things about this time of the year is the smell of freshly cut Christmas tree. Is this a tradition in your countries? Growing up in Colombia we always had a fake tree but here in the US is such a tradition getting a fresh tree and it has become one for us too since our daughter was born.

Awe, thanks Jazzy. I try my best making this time of the year special for my daughter as I know how much she loves December because of her birthday and Christmas.Looks lovely Sassy , your daughter is very lucky.
It has been snowing here ( West Lancs - about 15 miles north of Liverpool Sass) for an hour and starting to lay. Looks very picturesque.
On the subject of Christmas trees we moved into this house 25 years ago and on the 1st Christmas here bought a potted tree which we subsequently planted .......it's now well over 30 foot high!
That's gorgeous.Good morning @messymascot and fellow Blues. I was hoping that we had heard from you, Karl. Or from @Reedy1979 so I’m starting to feel more concerned about you. Maybe today that’s match day you get to toss us a line and let us know your prediction. We miss you so much!

Thanks, Ange. It looks so nice that I’m even tempted to hang some snowflakes in our bedroom too ?That's gorgeous.

Tbh, I prefer the snowflakes hanging from the ceiling than the real stuff (although my daughter better don’t hear me or she would be so mad) but snow does make the landscaping so picturesque and lovely that it is worth having it at least once during the winter time, but that’s enough for me lol
How nice, I bet it is a beautiful Christmas tree. When my husband and I used to live in the country side and not the city, we also got to plant a couple Christmas trees as we had 5 acres of land, but now days that would be impossible given our limited yard space Our trees are instead collected by the city and made into mulch so at least they are not wasted but I would much rather being able to plant them.
Doucoure back is great Rondon in isn't!@messymascot here is the line up. Doucoure is back so that’s at least encouraging. I say it is time to swap those bees and get our first win in a while!

Looks lovely, Sassy. We have an artificial tree. I would like a real tree but would feel really guilty discarding it after Christmas.?Good morning @messymascot and fellow Blues. I agree, it drives me crazy that Benitez continues playing him over giving the young lads a chance, but that’s Rafael and his stubbornness.Doucoure back is great Rondon in isn't!
Thanks @Gwladysover. The best thing about her room is that it has a winter feeling but it is warm ? I understand the guilty feeling that’s why I preferred when we could plant them, I’m hoping in the future once my daughter goes to college that we can go back to the country side and have plenty of space to have a forest full of Christmas trees.Looks lovely, Sassy.
