Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Well I do have have a fast metabolism mate.

This thread is certainly varied. We've gone from talking about footy, Messy's social life, food (including offal), saunas, music, birds and other wildlife, guitar making, different cultures and traditions, words crossing over to different languages, neighbours urinating in their garden, to my bowel movements.

You can always rely on me to lower the tone. ;)
Even the neighbours cat won't go out in this weather (bowel movements notwithstanding ;))

It hasn't stopped the squirrels though who have been frolicking all morning. A cute little robin is just visiting the garden too as I type.

.A day in front of the telly with the racing beckons I think. Just had a go at the ITV 7.

Best of luck with the ITV 7!

I think the word you were lucking for is miracle. Winning the lottery is easier. lol

I got the first 5 up one day and I was starting to sweat. Until the guy on the telly said that there was still 16000 people left in the competition which was something of a record. I think everybody had picked the favourites. lol

My last 2 horses came nowhere of course.

Edit. Looking. Freudian slip ;)

Had an interesting online chat with a customer service agent yesterday. She introduced herself as Sandra and asked how she could help. I asked her a question and our online chat continued as follows:

Sandra: I'll check for you. Bare with me.

Me: Do you mean bear with me, or are you suggesting a mutual strip?

Sandra: Haha. Yes I meant bear with me.

Me: Ok, I'll put my clothes back on.

I'm assuming it wasn't a video call ;)

In similar vein I've just done my selections for Soccer Saturday Six. It killed me to put the RS down for a 3 nil win but c'est la vie!

Good morning g @Barnfred 55 and everybody else. Hope those of you inUK and Ireland survived the storm relatively unscathed. We've got a roof tile off and a leak window. Nothing too drastic. No snow yet. Cancelled my trip to Liverpool. My Dad rang and said he was worried about me driving and thought it was best to leave it this weekend. So a lazy weekend beckons.
Looking pretty grim up your way Anj. The racing is from Newcastle. Will you be playing snowballs later? lol

Quick update on the wind situation. The back windscreen of my daughter's car has smashed. Not sure what has hit it. Could be anything really.

Not a chance. I'm like our cat - think about going out, look at the weather, change my mind and move closer to the radiator! :D

The Newcastle weather seems to be getting to us about 10 minutes later.

I remember the hurricane in 1987. I woke up during the night to the sound of lots of twigs from the two big trees in front of my flat hitting the windows. "Looks a bit windy," I thought. Ha, master of the understatement.

Next morning, I woke up to find the power was cut off. After muttering a few swear words, I got ready and left for work, completely unaware we'd had a hurricane. As I turned the corner there were two huge trees completely blocking the road and this gif pretty match nails my exact reaction.

That's brilliant,

That's brilliant,
The tube wasn't working, so I took a series of buses to get from NW London to Victoria in central London. I eventually got to work about 11-ish and there were literally only half a dozen of us there in a department of 70 people.

We spent an hour talking about our journeys, then went to the pub for a couple of hours or so, then headed home.

All in a day's work.

I hope your wind situation improves Anj;)
