Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I love Orrmskirk ,did you know the church is the only one with a spire and a tower if I remember correctly .In Finland they have Swedish as a second language in lots of parts and Ormskirk means snakes church .
Knew the first bit about the church ( isn't Kirk church in Scottish ?) having a tower and a spire but didn't know Orm meant snake!

Windy here (Isle of Man) and it’s bitter. I have about 250 yards to walk from my car to the gym and my hands were blue when I got there. Think it’ll be a movie day indoors with the kids tomorrow!!

Hope everyone is keeping well and is sufficiently sheltered from the storm where applicable.

Hope you’re well as you can be @messymascot. I give us precisely zero chance this weekend but at least we can afford ourselves a wry smile at the sheer levels of “Everton, that” that a walloping against a newly promoted team with an injury crisis of its own will achieve.

Good afternoon @messymascot and fellow Evertonians. I hope everyone is having a good Friday.

It has been a super lazy morning for me. After eating so much yesterday, I been having to recover this morning. But we really had a lovely time with the family and the effort and love we put into our meal could be tasted with every bite. We spent the night at my mum’s and still here since we don’t have to work again until Monday. So we probably will be stuffing ourselves with the leftovers through the day lol

I’m not sure what to predict for Sunday’s match. We should be able to win it given than Brentford also has a lot of injuries. I can’t believe Mina still is out. It just makes no sense that he has been training for days now and still is not fully recover :(

There is an old Irish saying Sassy that sums Everton up pretty well at the moment......

We couldnt beat the flies off cow [Poor language removed]

Afternoon all

Evening @messymascot hope you have been able to keep up with the team news and all things Toffee.

Mina out again and best CB or not, a decision needs made on extending or selling. With a heavy heart, his injuries are pointing towards shaking hands and moving on.

Would love to see Ellis Simms get a start Sunday, give him a chance to establish himself.

@blue1948
The name is Old Norse in origin and is derived from Ormres kirkja, from a personal name, Ormr (which means "serpent" or dragon), and the Old Norse word kirkja for church.[5] Ormr may have been a Viking who settled here, became a Christian and founded the church but there are no other records or archaeological evidence to support this and Ormr's identity is unknown.

Lots of words came over with the vikings hence to kirk in Scotland .
One thing that I noticed was that the word for bridge in Swedish sounds like brew -bro- which is what we called the railway bridge on City road near goodison and no one knew why .
