They normally use proper glasses tbf but they're expecting it to get very busy over the weekend with Armed Forces day. When you get so many people drinking outside it's understandable.

I know, and it is sensible, it‘s just that as a fellow lover of beer I can only drink from a proper glass…getting picky in my old age, it’s like last of the summer wine in our place…..and before anyone says it, no, I am not Compo….

Chalk it off as "one of them" mate. I have said before, this caring lark aint a straight line. More rewarding days than poor ones is good. It appears that you and Mrs Pete have more rewarding ones, in your own ways.

And keep doing so. I very quickly became very selfish when looking out for Nikki. As in, all that matters is her, and to an extent, me. On reflexion, and believe me, I have reflected a lot, it was an honour to be so trusted by someone you love so much to be essentially, their lifeline. It taught me an awful lot about myself, in a good way, (I think).

Meant to post this last week. My beloved Ard Mhacha played Galway in Carrick on Shannon (Leitrim). A beautiful little town which I very much enjoyed.

As the name suggests, it’s on the Shannon. Someone did their away day in style and fair play to them

yeah , the Liverpool branch is called Keeping Dixie lol
