Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

The family fortune has gone on Pyledriver today. No daft accas. I started following the horse because his regular jockey, Martin Dwyer, is a Scouse Evertonian. Unfortunately he's been injured for ages but the horse is still doing well. I actually had a conversation on Instagram with Martin Dwyer about Everton a few months ago. He ws as depressed as the rest of us!

I may have to revise my opinion of one of my least favourite people on the planet - Graeme Sounness. I've been reading about the stuff he's doing to support a little Scottish girl who has some awful skin disease. Souness has just been part of a team that swam the Channel. He's also trying to raise awareness of the condition. Fair play to him.

Was astonished to see him break down in tears when talking about the girls condition. Went right up in my estimation

Good morning all. I'm doing overtime, possibly ever so slightly hungover from excessive lager consumption last night. So solidarity with you @Barnfred 55 .I also thought it was an excellent idea to cook pizza and garlic bread when we came in last night. I can't believe this is the second weekend in a row I've drank to excess. I'm regressing to my twenties!. I'll be digging out the legwarmers and going clubbing next.
It's a nice day here but quite windy so not as warm as it could be.
Glad you had a good night @peteblue and I'm hoping today is a good one for you both. Have fun at the fair @Gwladysover.
I'm intrigued by your nettle pancakes @blue1948. What sort of flavour do they have - please don't say nettle!
Enjoy the day lovelies x
No we blanch them first and then chop them and the taste is more spinachy but not in a bad way .They must be yound sprouts ,if you have them around then chop them off and let them regrow .Did you know you can pick them without gloves ?
You need courage but the "nettle" part only works if you take them from the top( Fred behave ) so just grab them fast from underneath and they don't sting .
The more I posted there the less sure I am that I got it right .

Just booked my hotel for a week in Liverpool when we get back from Edinburgh, plus my return flights. I'm giving returning via Dublin a go and see what it's like. The Dublin flight from Speke is 6am, and there's a 7 hour wait between connecting flight in Dublin. But it's cheaper than an overnight hotel at Manchester airport or staying in Liverpool an extra 2 nights (at weekend prices) which were the alternatives. It'll be my first experience with Ryanair too which will be interesting.
I hope you remember your baggage Fred ,they are so unforgiving .Make sure you have the priority that allows you an extra bag if you need it the priority boarding means nothig at some airports as there doesn't seem to be any option ,just the same queue. I nearly had to pay about 50€ to come back here although I though I had booked the same way on the return flight .

Well done Anj. Let's hope he keeps it and there's no SE. I've had a mare last 2 days. lol

Yep. National Armed Services day being held in Falmouth. Red Arrows part of the air show taking place over Falmouth Harbour and bay. WW!! planes later. Had a couple of the new F35 fighters earlier in the week flew right over my house but didn't have my camera ready.
They were due to fly over our area this afternoon but they have been grounded. They discovered a fault in one of the engines. Lovely pics though.
