Thank you blue, we had an uneventful night, the sun is shining and Mrs Pete looks radiant, should have a good day…..

Morning all. Had a few too many G&Ts last night watching Glasto but don't feel too bad this morning considering. Decided against going into Falmouth for Armed Forces day as, apart from being chocker, it will probably also be a nightmare getting home. There's an air display on at some time, including the Red Arrows, so may take a walk down to the coast where I'll get a decent view. Weather still great down here and the forecast for later is hot and sunny, so decided to have a barbie later and have taken a couple of cajun lamb steaks out of the freezer.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning all. I'm doing overtime, possibly ever so slightly hungover from excessive lager consumption last night. So solidarity with you @Barnfred 55 .I also thought it was an excellent idea to cook pizza and garlic bread when we came in last night. I can't believe this is the second weekend in a row I've drank to excess. I'm regressing to my twenties!. I'll be digging out the legwarmers and going clubbing next.
It's a nice day here but quite windy so not as warm as it could be.
Glad you had a good night @peteblue and I'm hoping today is a good one for you both. Have fun at the fair @Gwladysover.
I'm intrigued by your nettle pancakes @blue1948. What sort of flavour do they have - please don't say nettle!
Enjoy the day lovelies x

I wish I'd never heard the bloody word "jungle"

Thought I'd have a nice gentle morning turning over the soil where me and my mate have removed the 3x2 flags only to discover that an inch or so lower there are 2 courses of bricks on which the flags sat - makes sense really given their weight. 3 hours later and i've removed about 120 bricks and done about 3/4 of the area. That's enough for me , too hot too. I need beer!

Time for a shower and a pop to Tesco to get supplies for the PettsFest music festival later.

Have a lovely day y'all

Party pooper lol

Just booked my hotel for a week in Liverpool when we get back from Edinburgh, plus my return flights. I'm giving returning via Dublin a go and see what it's like. The Dublin flight from Speke is 6am, and there's a 7 hour wait between connecting flight in Dublin. But it's cheaper than an overnight hotel at Manchester airport or staying in Liverpool an extra 2 nights (at weekend prices) which were the alternatives. It'll be my first experience with Ryanair too which will be interesting.

Hope your experience with RyanAir is better than mine Fred.
