Hi folks. I've finished overtime and had a quick visit to Tesco. Now enjoying the cricket but may switch over later to watch the King George. My favourite horse Pyledriver is running. I don't think he'll win but he owes me nothing so a couple of quid each way has been invested.
Having had the son's birthday last week, Daughter is 26 next week. Bad planning to arrange my children's birthdays 10 days apart! So family meal out next week. I've also got the pleasure of the first of three dental appointments on Wednesday that will sort out my ancient fillings which, much like the rest of me, are on the point of collapse

I like to wish Kopite Kev luck in his search for a new striker. Two weeks to go Kev and you've only had 2 years to find one , chop, chop.

@blue1948 have a safe drive and be careful with those sports at your age , mind you could be the only gold medal Finland get.

Had a good day. Hammered the bookies on the racing including a 25-1 winner. England are battering the Ausies in the cricket. And the mighty Blues won an enthralling encounter with top class opposition with a last minute screamer.

Just enjoying a glass of my favourite strong cider in the early evening sun.

Good evening all. The mighty Blues remain unbeaten pre-season. How skint must we be when our pre- season is Wigan Bolton and Stoke. Maybe we are just trying to do our bit and reduce the carbon footprint.

I enjoyed the cricket today - Australia look completely out of ideas. I'm sad Stuart Broad has decided to call it a day. I love his fiery nature and he has been a class act for years. Him and Anderson must be the greatest bowling partnership England have ever had.

I'm very much looking forward to a lie in tomorrow. Although these days a lie in is until about 8.30.

Wife took son to watch Blackpool in a pre season friendly vs Hibs

They got chatting to Hibs ceo. Refreshing to have friendly management to chat to. Really interested in what son had to say. The ceo told them kids were only playing as in Europe mid week. Great turnout

So Nora came 2nd out of 20 dogs would of won it , if the winner never crossed her path

I did ask for a stewards enquiry, but the Canadian judge didn’t understand the humour,
Anyhow she is starting against Fulham in the opening fixture, lot faster than the players we have

No mate. Been catching up on some prog rock on YouTube.

Now watching a video of Paul McCartney at the Cavern from about 20+ years ago. Dave Gilmour and Ian Paice [who also lives nearby now) were in his band.

Weird. Me and Cal were there and I don't remember any of the songs so far
