Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all. It's a lovely day here in the North East. I've been to Tesco, allegedly for cat food but managed to buy some jeans and a new top. 😄 Off out this afternoon for drinks in Durham with Mr F and some friends.
I cant wait to go away in September. Really looking forward to it. I just hope all my ferry bookings and hotel dates match up!🤣🤣 I've hacked them about 9 million times so they should. We're also flying to Athens with Easyjet but coming back with Aegean Airlines- both of whom have different baggage rules.

My brother is currently in Porto Santo - an island near Madeira. His photos look absolutely stunning - beautiful beaches and hardly anybody there.

Off to get ready now. Ha e a good day

Fab.
We are going to Porto Santo for Mrs Js birthday in March. Sounds even better than I thought .
Enjoy your illicit drinking session. Don't know why I always think afternoon drinking is a forbidden fruit lol

When I bought the old Jag as a project of course I joined a few forums ,on one yesterday the subject of their unreliablity surfaced and I asked why as an Evertonian and an S-type owner do I do it to myself ?
The general consensus was I am a glutton for punishment . Me I think it isn't ,it is love ,I just love Everton and the looks of the Jag and when she is running properly it will be all worth it . I am though still waiting for the brake switch ( with a week delivery time) five weeks later!

I’ve owned two jaguars, both XJ’s from new and did over 100k miles in both. The only issue I had in all that time was on the first one when a radiator hose went on the motorway and it went into limp home mode which got me to a jaguar dealer where I bought another and left it there for repair while I continued my journey. I gave the repaired XJ to one of my sons and it and its replacement never gave any further issue. I had far more trouble with a BMW 7series than I ever did with Jaguars…..

@Val P ..........................on the BBC website right now , very topical to our discussion...........

Will def watch that, but I’m of the opinion that if you check the rules and abide by them you’ll have no problems. Apart from the odd delay and unexpected refuel stops in Athens and Milan we’ve always been happy with easyJet. They were very prompt refunders during covid.

Tesco is lethal for that - I went for barm cakes and came away with a jumpsuit 😂😂

In a positive vibe befitting of the Messy Cafe, I think Everton will avoid last season’s gut wrenching finish.

Danjuma and Chermiti strengthens the attack and I expect another 2 in by the end of the window.

Patterson; McNeil; Garner and Onana are a year more experienced and pre-season showed very promising signs.

And the cherry on top, DCL is surely due a run of fitness.

12th.

You filled me full of hope there until you mentioned DCL…..

I used to take my family and my mum to Madeira, we loved the all year around temperatures which were never too hot (I don’t do well in the sun). I was told that Porto Santo, which we never visited, was the place that the people of Madeira used to go to on holiday.….
