Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

It is still yesterday here so happy anniversary to you and your lovely wife Pete from us both .

Thank you Blue. We had a lovely meal with our kids and grandchildren, lots of happy smiling faces, granddaughter looking like a smart young lady and our one year old grandson was as good as gold. Got back home to the result and an issue with the pub, completely ruined the evening, but my wife really enjoyed herself so all was good really……

20230827_145937.jpgThis band came all the way from Finland. I asked them if they knew a scouse Evertonian called Blue. They said is that the guy who's always miserable and I said yeah, he supports Everton.

The Finnish band were very good. Also saw Colombian, Brazilian, Mexican, Canadian and American bands who were good. Two scouse bands who were excellent one of which did a few songs with Beryl Marsden. Also saw a Paraguayan band who were pretty crap, and an all granny Japanese band who wore skirts up their bums and were hilariously funny but thoroughly enjoyed themselves nonetheless.

Off to the saleaway now.

Watch the RS game on board. It's hilarious, they are falling apart

Morning all, another bright start, hope the weather clears up @jazzy, doesn’t seem right we are hogging all the dry weather. Pleased to hear you and Mrs B are having a good time @blueloon, your reward for such a rotten start. Good to hear from the seafarer again, great view @Barnfred 55 , hope those skies are not a metaphor for the future. lol
I’m off to “Rocks by Rail” today, a preserved railway in a limestone quarry in Rutland, not a concert on a train. I went years ago when our children were younger than the grandchildren we are going with today. God I’m old!👵
Still no luck with the word puzzle @blue1948 . bird - pen (female swan) enclose pen. Can’t make them fit with the others though.
Have a good day, all.💙
Should have posted this earlier, got distracted so forgot to press post🤦‍♀️, told you I was old!,

Hi all. We arrived yesterday after a bit of a detour because the ferry at Corran was broken and no chance of it being fixed any time soon. Our hotel is gorgeous The views are stunning. We had dinner in the hotel last night - very lovely but
this morning's breakfast was something else! Porridge to start followed by a cooked to order Scottish breakfast - bacon, sausage, haggis, black pudding, beans, mushrooms, tomato and a potato cake type thing. We haven't eaten anything since then! We went into Fort William today and had the amazing experience while we were on the way of seeing a red deer stag cross the road a few feet in front of the car. Didn't manage to get a pic of him though. The WiFi is a bit iffy. It won't let me post any pics. I'll have to save them for when I get home. It is currently pouring here so we've got wine and beer in our room.
