Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Hi all. We arrived yesterday after a bit of a detour because the ferry at Corran was broken and no chance of it being fixed any time soon. Our hotel is gorgeous The views are stunning. We had dinner in the hotel last night - very lovely but
this morning's breakfast was something else! Porridge to start followed by a cooked to order Scottish breakfast - bacon, sausage, haggis, black pudding, beans, mushrooms, tomato and a potato cake type thing. We haven't eaten anything since then! We went into Fort William today and had the amazing experience while we were on the way of seeing a red deer stag cross the road a few feet in front of the car. Didn't manage to get a pic of him though. The WiFi is a bit iffy. It won't let me post any pics. I'll have to save them for when I get home. It is currently pouring here so we've got wine and beer in our room.
Sounds great A, glad MrF has recovered. Where exactly are you , out Mallaig way?

Well a very good morning from a warm and sunny Liverpool 😀. I have to tell you that it was warmer and sunnier in Iceland, and Norway for that matter. Welcome home.

I Hope you all appreciate my getting up at the crack of dawn to take these pics.

Going to The Beatles Convention at The Adelphi today which is good fun. Sadly back on board by 4.30 so will have to miss the one act I was really looking forward to who isnt on until 4pm.

Here's a couple more pics from the sail in.

Where’s that top photo from?

Morning all, another bright start, hope the weather clears up @jazzy, doesn’t seem right we are hogging all the dry weather. Pleased to hear you and Mrs B are having a good time @blueloon, your reward for such a rotten start. Good to hear from the seafarer again, great view @Barnfred 55 , hope those skies are not a metaphor for the future. lol
I’m off to “Rocks by Rail” today, a preserved railway in a limestone quarry in Rutland, not a concert on a train. I went years ago when our children were younger than the grandchildren we are going with today. God I’m old!👵
Still no luck with the word puzzle @blue1948 . bird - pen (female swan) enclose pen. Can’t make them fit with the others though.
Have a good day, all.💙
Should have posted this earlier, got distracted so forgot to press post🤦‍♀️, told you I was old!,
Last clue -means of travel

I meant to post over the weekend ,we made some lamb burgers and being in a hurry to eat them I left the frying pan unwashed until after the meal .The fat had hardened and formed dripping .I went back 60 years as I scraped a little from the pan before washing it ,my mouth felt as if I had eaten a candle but what a memory of dripping butties .
The good old days ! I would be dead now if that diet had still been the norm.
