I meant to post over the weekend ,we made some lamb burgers and being in a hurry to eat them I left the frying pan unwashed until after the meal .The fat had hardened and formed dripping .I went back 60 years as I scraped a little from the pan before washing it ,my mouth felt as if I had eaten a candle but what a memory of dripping butties .
The good old days ! I would be dead now if that diet had still been the norm.

Brought back memories of my childhood- Beef dripping on toast sprinkled with salt…kids would turn their noses up nowadays but we loved it.

Afternoon all, had a good time at the railway museum. As a child watching the goods trains pass by, I always wanted to hitch a ride alongside the guard as he waved to us trainspotters and yesterday I fulfilled my ambition by riding in the guards van.Okay it wasn’t the train of at least fifty coal trucks of my childhood but I stood on the veranda and waved to the walkers on the nature trail. lol

Hey guys how are we today? Blues ruined your weekend or are you just apathetic at this stage.

Hope this new striker can handle pressure because we are all depending on him scoring 61 goals to beat Dixie's record lol hopefully between him dom and chermiti we can get the needed goals.

I still think we need another 3 players to be honest and desperately need mcniel and Harrison back. I also think Gana is an accident waiting to happen though.

Hope Fred isn't on that cruise liner in Spain

Here’s another pic from yesterday. The locomotive “Singapore” was captured at Singapore harbour by the Japanese and after the war was shipped to the UK and worked at Chatham Dockyard before retiring to Rutland. It is a designated war memorial in remembrance of the Far Eastern POW’s.

I don’t know about you @Gwladysover but I have no interest in cars , F1 racing etc. but I love a transport museum. Old trains and buses, bring them on.

Me neither, cars just don’t interest me at all, my eyes just glaze over. I never even learned to drive lol .

We’ve just finished watching our traditional Bank Holiday viewing - Kelly’s Heroes. We‘ve seen it that many times since we first saw it at the pictures in 1970 we’re practically word perfect..

F1 and other motor sports don’t interest me but I love cars - to me a really nice car is like a pair of designer shoes - to be admired but probably never owned - I can get quite excited in a car showroom or a classic car show

Lost Boys is mine and Grease I had a thing for musicals as a kid. My sister to this day takes the pee because I watched sound of music a lot and rocky horror picture show lol guilty pleasures
