We are watching Bangers and Cash for the umpteenth time ,i always spot a different car .F1 and other motor sports don’t interest me but I love cars - to me a really nice car is like a pair of designer shoes - to be admired but probably never owned - I can get quite excited in a car showroom or a classic car show

No it is still out of action. It wasn't too bad. Probably only added about 20 minutes to the journey- no getting lost on the way back

I also need to share the story of Splash and Waddles, pictured below. They lived in the hotel grounds and belonged to the girl who served breakfast in the hotel. She told us she had had them since they were eggs. Unfortunately Splash and Waddles were being subject to unwanted sexual advances from a randy male in the duck pond. They were terrified of him and would run to the hotel kitchen to get protection from their Mum!
More travel disasters from me. After a really nice day in Amsterdam , we were aware of the air travel disruption so got to Schipol airport early, made our way through check in only to have our flight cancelled due to the Air Control thingy. Can’t get our baggage back . KLM couldn’t get us out until Wednesday and have routed us via Heathrow then back up to Inverness. Had to sort hotel for two nights with no medications , toiletries etc as they wouldn’t give us our checked in luggage back. We’re both very weary and a teary Mrs b . I’m probably not going to be able to post or want to for a few days .
Well we can't get much worse ValI think I’m in a minority of one who feels that we will improve- you can remind me of this when we’re bottom at Christmas

Have a great day all ( If you can ) ,I am off to be tested for roadworthyness ,it is every 5 years at my age to see if I am past it -driving wise . Last time the doctor asked me to look at the clock above him ,then without looking again draw the clock and tell him the time . Some test !
