Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

You and I awake again Blue :) , goodnight from St.Louis , we’re off to Nashville in the morning for Americanafest. Have a good day y’all.
Was in Nashville this time last year, had a brilliant time I’m not a big country fan but the music in all the bars was top class

We did the beer bike tour it was a good laugh, loads to do and see, enjoy

Today did not go to plan. We arrived in good time for the 9 am ferry only to find it was cancelled due to high winds. The next ferry to Syros was not until 4pm. This meant we were stranded in Piraeus - the Greek equivalent of Holyhead (No disrespect to the good folk of Holyhead) but a ferry port with very little going for it.
So what did we do? Well we had coffee then had a look in a Greek Orthodox church and somehow, after lighting candles for Mum and Dad, ended up taking part in a ceremony which involved a priest singing Kyrie Ellison over a cake. We got a good chunk of said cake (walnut and cinnamon- very lovely) Haven't quite worked out what it was about yet. Then we left. And went to a bar. And had beer. And some more beer. And lunch. And more beer.
Slight confusion when we finally boarded our ferry because although it was going to Syros, its name was Mykonos! Minor panic that we were booked on the wrong ferry.
Anyway we are here now. It's lovely, very quiet and we are chilling on our balcony.
Tomorrow I will be mostly in the pool or on the beach.
In other news, Syros has a Lidl.

Sounds as though things turned out well after all. Beautiful pic.

Good morning all on this autumnal day here in Finland .I hope all are well and had a good night . It is nice to see @anjelikaferrett has memories to share already ,the signs are good .
Having seen the Northern lights once in 25 years I must concur that they do indeed look better on camera .My excuse for the failure is that we go to bed early and they occur later . They sell Lapland on the lights givinga 55% chance ,given that there is almost 6 months daylight and they only occur when the sun does it's thing I wonder if the odds are a true reflection -see what I did there ?
Has anyone read the article in the Mail quoting the Esk and deriding our prospective new owners ? Shocking the state Moshiri has gotten us into.
Have a great day all COYB

Northern lights were seen over Bourne on Sunday night, about 18 miles north of where we live. According to some comments on another site, they were nowhere near as spectacular as they appear on these photos. Still love to see them though.

Morning all. Today I’m entering another round in my fight with KLM for my reasonable expenses reclaim. Yesterday they sent a “ good news I’ve authorised your claim “ email. But it wasn’t for the full amount, about 3/5ths of it , so £200 missing with no explanation. I’ve given them a day to let part of the claim progress, I don’t want to lose that!, and have now followed up with a “Thank you very much for the progress, but you still owe me £200, and here’s a repeat of the reasons why . “

I also posted on their Facebook page the other night, I got a reply from somebody in a similar position, but my post was taken down an hour later. So I reposted with an “ Oh , my original post seems to have been accidentally taken down , here it is again , I’m only politely asking for information” KLM responded this time with a link which didn’t go anywhere, so I thanked them and said I’d go back to pursuing the original claim. Which I’ve done today.

Mrs b thinks I’m enjoying this , but I’m not . My old age grumpiness is of a sufficient level to keep pursuing this but if it becomes too stressful I’ll likely let it go , but not just yet. Sorry for the long KLM posts, please ignore if not interested, but they may just help someone if they find themselves in a similar position in future 🙂
