Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning all on this beautiful morning ,I hope @messymascot had a great nights sleep and is saving his strength for tomorrow .I agree @Barnfred 55 my wife says "keep it stupid simple" I am sure you get the point ,we do the same rock salt and black pepper .
I was given some Himalayan salt ( pink) by a friend who watches everything he eats as he has colon problems ,anyway it seems that that is the only salt which can poison you as it has arsenic , mercury and lead although in minute doses.
I hope all have a great day today .
Today's food is scrambled eggs with truffle ,at lunch salmon roe with smetana and chopped raw onion and for our evening meal it is Reindeer stew with Lingonberry and mashed spuds again with chopped onion just before serving .
I cannot wait.

Have a wonderful day blue.

Some questions.....

1. How do you cope with the cold. I mean you can make the house toasty but it must cost a fortune but surely you freeze to death whe you go out.

2. Are you a judge on the Finnish equivalent of Masterchief?

3. If your wife is cooking , why doesn't she practice what she preaches , that menu sounds anything but simple.

4. What's Santa going to do if all you Finns eat his flipping Rheindeers?

Morning Messy , Fred et al,

I hope y'all had a great night's kip and are looking forward to the weekend.

Plenty of sport to look forward, well if you ignore the Ashes. Someone on another thread put it quite well after the latest England collapse...."well England are the cricket equivalent of Everton".

Anyway today confirmed my fears about the cricket team.

So , we've got the F1 showdown. Not really an F1 fan myself but got a feeling that this will be unmissable.

And then our brave boys in blue do battle at the Palace. CP are a completely different team under Vieira playing some lovely attacking football. However they are open and give you a decent chance , even Burnley scored 3 against them. So I think after a confidence boosting win you've got to have renewed hope.

Mrs J refuses to put the Xmas decs up this weekend and wants to do it next weekend. Only problem is I will be hungover after the table tennis do next Friday, that is if further restrictions aren't introduced before then , who knows , insisting that everyone takes a LF test before coming but how do you enforce?

Could put the decs up myself but will get grief when I get it wrong so I'll just suffer next weekend.

Anyway enough of my life and times.

Hope everyone had a great weekend and that Messy and Fred you are able to enjoy the sport .

PS Fred don't you feel dirty when doing you Saturday Super Six and you put the RS down for a big win. Can't recall the matches this week as I did it on Tuesday and I've had a few sleeps since then ? , but you know what I mean.

Good Morning Messy, Fred and the gang, hope you all have a great start to your weekend @blue1948 the kids are not going to be happy if that's Rudolph you're tucking into later ?
@jazzy yes the national cricket team are hopeless and you just see a whitewash ahead.
Lazy day ahead 4-10 shift at work to look forward to, the old fella did get out of hospital last night, he's still in a little pain but okay other than that.
Looking forward to the Palace game, We can go into it with a little more confidence off the back of Monday's winbut not holding my breath.

I actually didn't feel too dirty this week Jaz. They're playing Villa and i do believe I may hate Steven Gerrard even more than I hate Liverpool. I've gone for 2-0 but I'd be just as happy if they stuck 6 past them. ;)

Afternoon @messymascot Hope you are rested up and looking forward to the match tomorrow. I wouldxsay cautious optimism is my current mood. As for the cricket- what a disaster.

Currently on the way to Liverpool. Having a pit stop at Lancaster Services Decided to go A66 M6 instead of the A1. Mostly because I hate the A1. So boring and on a Saturday I always get stuck in loads of traffic on the Manchester ring road. M6 is much prettier.

I have a dilemma too about RS v Villa. Like @Barnfred 55 I can't decide who I hate more, them or Stevie Me. I forgave Villa quite some time ago for the 1977 League Cup Final and generally think they are OK. This season I want them to crash and burn.

Anyway must set off again. Might not catch all of the match tomorrow but if you want updates I'll fill in for @Sassy Colombian as soon as I get home. I'm assuming she will be otherwise occupied on her hols.
Have a good day everyone x

Afternoon Messy, Fred and everyone. In supermarket this morning when some bloke took his mask off to sneeze, he cleared the aisle in record time! Have managed to decorate the tree this morning, something that always gives me mixed feelings. The decorations collected over the last 45 years we’ve been married bring back so many memories, even have an angel our son made in infant school - he’s 41! Good to hear your Dad is home @larbert toffee, safe journey @anjelikaferrett hope you find your Dad well, have a great holiday @Sassy Colombian. Enjoy your day all.

Enjoy topping your accent up Anj, hope your Dad is in good form.

I'm still not fully myself but I'm getting there! Both my knees are knackered so now I have to do exactly what I'm told. This us an alien concept to me!

Hope you are doing ok @Barnfred 55.
Now you know how us married blokes feel.lol Great to see you posting BTW.
I'm not a regular on this thread but I pop in occasionally just to keep an eye on you all.
Some fantastic folk in here and it makes me feel humble.;) Keep on keeping on. . . . . all of you.
