Morning salutations Pete et all.Morning all, this is your early morning wake up call…news from Finland will be in as soon as Blue has had his breakfast……
He'll be shaking in his shoesThat’ll teach him the error of his ways Anj.
We watched the second episode of the Long Shadow last evening and as you say it‘s rather dark and disturbing, so we watched All Creatures Great and Small on Channel 5 afterwards as an antidote.Morning all, apparently the rain is going to clear up later in the NWest so . Started watching The Long Shadow last night - the series about the Yorkshire ripper. On reflection it was probably not the best series to start after The Reckoning as it’s also dark and disturbing. So on a lighter note tonight I’m going to try and watch My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 on the dodgy box. It’ll probably be crap but after a couple of gins I’ll probably be a. Asleep or b. Not bothered.
I‘ve also found the BBC podcast series about Everton that you mentioned @blueloon so I’ll give that a go also. Enjoy your art @blue1948 I imagine it will be very calming and take your mind of the Jag. Mines flashing up for a service and that sounds expensive - and my husband says it needs a new Cam belt?.
Have a good Friday everyone
When we were married the service had just been changed to give the bride the option of choosing not to obey. However the vicar said that in his church the old service would apply as in his view the groom promised to give the bride all his worldly goods it seemed only fair the bride promised to obey in return. I have always taken the view that everything belongs to me - I have of course kept my side of the bargain - total obedience.I’m obviously old school, I’ve always believed that if ever my wife and I split up there would be one of three outcomes. If we both decided to split it would be 50/50, if I cheated on her she would get 100% and I’d start again, if she cheated on me I’d burn everything and we’d both start again….
We’re enjoying The Long Shadow, despite its dark nature and reflection of how women were viewed in the ‘70s. There’s lots of “ well kent faces” in it as they say up here, and we’ve progressed an episode ahead using iPlayer.Morning all, apparently the rain is going to clear up later in the NWest so . It needs a new cambelt every so often and really should be changed as the consequences are catastrophic on most engines ,it is time or distance dependant so check when it was last done and how often it should be changed ,I do suspect however Mr V has done all that .If you want to share the info I will try to guide you if he has not checked .Morning all, apparently the rain is going to clear up later in the NWest so . Cal and I used to always share decorating duties. I'd take my credit card when we went shopping for materials, and I'd hold the ladder for her when she couldn't reach bits on her own. Teamwork. Now I know why G does her own decorating.
Your house isn't your own when they are in and getting the main bedroom and kitchen done at the same time wasn't a great idea.
Trying to keep the dogs calm , being limited what rooms you can take them in and it's pissing down so you can't take them outside is no fun.
Ah well they came mob handed so should be done by tomorrow.
Have a lovely day everyone.
sounds perfect!Cal and I used to always share decorating duties. I'd take my credit card when we went shopping for materials, and I'd hold the ladder for her when she couldn't reach bits on her own. Teamwork.
Still really mild down here. Went into town yesterday for a haircut and took a light hoodie as there was mizzle about. Had to take it off after 10 minutes as I was roasting.First cold morning of the season but it delivered a beautiful star scape for my walk. Best time of the day.
