I'm never that lucky. I usually find, depending on how long said handbag has been out of commission, a train ticket, a Tesco receipt, a pack of tissues and a roll of extra strong mints with about 3 left. Never once have I come across a stray £5, £10 or £20 note!I must check my portfolio
Congratulations and Happy Wedding Anniversary to you and Mrs BL.Morning, a busy day for me, our wedding anniversary, sitting on a “ Children’s Panel” this afternoon, ( it’s unique to Scotland, similar to England‘s Family Court) and just back from a run. I listened to the first 2 episodes of the BBC podcast “ Nothing will be the same” while out running , it was interesting , included Everton employees we don’t usually hear about , and painful events from last season. I’ve got as far as last January , it’s depressing how little progress we’ve made.
I completely agree Anj . It is , always has been and always will be one rule for the rich and one for the poorAbsolutely fuming. Bernie Ecclestone gets a suspended sentence for millions of pounds of tax fraud over 18 years. How can that be right when a benefit cheat will get jailed for significantly lower sums of money? Oh I know, one is a billionaire paid up member of the establishment and the other is probably poor and skint. I'm not condoning either but there's something wrong here.
Without trying to turn this into the CA thread (Heaven forbid) it makes my blood boil. The way HMRC operate more than likely means that the £652m is not the full amount. It is what they have agreed with him. I can never understand how tax dodgers are not treated with utter contempt. It's why I despise Children In Need. Rich tax dodgers telling poor people to dig deep.I completely agree Anj . It is , always has been and always will be one rule for the rich and one for the poor

It’s uncomfortable viewing, made my skin crawl tbh. I wouldn’t watch it as a way of chilling out put it that wayWould you recommend The Reckoning or is it more a show only if you’re in the right mood for it? I anticipate much seething after watching it.
Oh what a pain, I hope you get them soonMorning all, grey and cloudy here haven’t ventured outside yet so not sure how cold it is. Last day of daughter’s decorating today, hopefully this morning should see it finished. Had hoped to pick up my new glasses last week but they weren’t ready. I was warned it was a complicated prescription so I wasn’t surprised. Now I have had a call to say there has been a further delay. I have to go back to hospital in four months so they can check how well my eyes have adjusted to the prism, I’m already a month into it and no sign of new glasses - getting very frustrating.
@Val P @anjelikaferrett good luck at the gym, we’re all behind you - in my case it would be a very long way behind.
Have a good day,all
I think your right about the programme - people need to be aware of red flags and be encouraged to do something about it if necessary. It was heart breaking the way the girls were fobbed off.Morning everyone,
A tiny bit of frost but very cold overnight but awoke to an absolutely gorgeous day.
@anjelikaferrett no the decorators are still here . Should be finished around lunch time and then they head back home to Durham / Hartlepool where they live. Then we get to put the house back together.
@Armaghtoffee and @Gwladysover I've watched the Jimmy Saville programme. It's genuinely a tough watch but essential in my view that these types of programmes are made to expose the MO of these gobshites. Yes Coogans performance is jaw dropping.
So hopefully we get the house back this afternoon, the dogs can have a nice play in the garden and we can relax and get ready for next week when we have builders in to insulate the loft and roof in readiness for the winter!
@peteblue I hope your day goes smoothly, you've had enough bumps in road recently ..
Anyway have a lovely day everyone .

Funnily enough I took my hubby’s suit into the dry cleaners yesterday on my way to the dentist and found £20 note in the pocket - as luck would have it they had a lovely sweatshirt in River Island in the sale - well finders keepersI'm never that lucky.
