Well it is all happening here ,our cat caught a mouse yesterday evning and brought it into the house .After a noight of chasing it ( he doesn't kill them ) he spent the morning staring at the hifi cabinet ,now we have arrived back home I lifted it up and the mouse legged it -now it is in the log burner -with the cat watching .He hasn't been the loo or eaten in twelve hours or more !
More when we I get it
Our Bessie brought home a mouse yesterday for the first time in ages , maybe a change in weather. Only half alive when I rescued it and popped it over the fence. She went searching for it a few hours later . The live ones are the most difficult to deal with , I always like to give them a fair chance to get away .Well it is all happening here ,our cat caught a mouse yesterday evning and brought it into the house .After a noight of chasing it ( he doesn't kill them ) he spent the morning staring at the hifi cabinet ,now we have arrived back home I lifted it up and the mouse legged it -now it is in the log burner -with the cat watching .He hasn't been the loo or eaten in twelve hours or more !

Many years ago , when we first met , Mrs bl got me a sax on hire for about 8 weeks for my birthday. I love the instrument , mainly from my soul days of Stax/ Atlantic records. Sadly I was never really able to get anywhere with it and it went back at the end of the loan period. In my dreams RP.
Table tennis yes , still reasonably competitive. The sax , sadly not . It would be fantastic to play and yep it's my favourite instrument but I can't play a note.
Ours is like the Grim Reaper as far as small rodents are concerned. She brings home at least one a day for us to admire. Fortunately aready dead although I've rescued a few literally from the jaws of death. She usually sits on the patio and eats them. Utterly gross - you'd think she never got fed.Our Bessie brought home a mouse yesterday for the first time in ages , maybe a change in weather. I've had a few that did that. One cat brought home a squirrel, well all that was left was the tail, but it looked like a squirrel tail.Ours is like the Grim Reaper as far as small rodents are concerned. Oh my goodness. That's impressive though - catching a snake. Ours came home with a rabbit a few weeks ago - it was nearly as big as her! Fortunatelu she hadn't killed it so we managed to get her to drop it. It ran off down the garden with the cat in hot pursuit. It was like watching a minature version of the Serengeti - a cheetah chasing an antelope! The rabbit went to hide under the shed so survived the ordeal. Look at her picture - how can something so cute behave like that! The good thing is that she never bothers with birds.I've had a few that did that. The worst one ever was my childhood cat in California brought home a snake and left it on the porch by the door. The BEST part was that it wasn't DEAD, so we watched it slither away from inside the house.
The worst one was with our previous cat Molly , a tortie.Oh my goodness. That's impressive though - catching a snake. Ours came home with a rabbit a few weeks ago - it was nearly as big as her! Morning all from a very dark Ard Mhacha. They really aren’t called the dark days before Christmas for nothing!
Didn’t realise Everton were on TV this weekend until just now. Something to look forward to anyway. Our luck is bound to change soon.
Like you blue I awoke with bad back pain.Good morning all a sleep in was on the cards today as hanging over the boot of the car for hours tends to make an old back ache .I hope all are well after a good sleep. It is heavily clouded here in Finland and it sure looks ominous .Each time I go out to "fix" the Jag full of confidence I come back tail between my legs as it has put me in my place again.Yesterday I was sure I had it solved a full check up on the lights would bring me so much joy ,only to be thrown into disarray when the results were analysed .Time is running out as we have a deadline for fitting winter tyres and the Jag doesn't have any!
Have a great day all COYB.
