Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Is that from the Blue Dolphin in a Helston. I’m sure I had a hangover many years ago after an afternoon there 😂. Is it still there?
No but I'm very impressed. It's The Blue Anchor in Helston. It's been there over 600 years and if you were drinking the Special I'm not surprised you had a hangover.

My local shop sells the bottles but I so want to go back to the pub and enjoy the draft again.

Good morning all on this dismal day here in Hyvinkää. I hope all are well and had a good night's sleep especially the @peteblue household ,it must be hard for your son Pete to see his beloved mother in that way ,he shows strength beyond what is fair ,from good stock that is for sure . I too was disappointed at the end of the game but we certainly are a different team lately .I just would like a bit more creativity from the wingers ,defensively great job but missing that final ball. COYB.

Blue Anchor! That’s it! I remember it being full of character and characters!

Just watched the Liverpool fingio on bbc2, we did produce some great music back in the day

The Farm all together now classic , but didn’t realize they are all reds , defo bought back some memories
I was on the couch cuddled up with the dog (first night of fireworks and she hated it, so dreading tomorrow) and it was a great few hours of listening to music.

The weather looks much calmer today, so I am off out soon to give her an hour walk before taking my son to Manchester to play football.

Morning all, off to help our friends with their house move today, thankfully the weather is fine. He’s just contacted me concerning arrangements for today. I’ve just received a text as I typed my reply via Messenger in which he said he could see what I was saying as I typed and before I sent the message. He was correct. He’s a bit of a joker and I’m sure not whether it was a lucky guess or he was telling the truth.🤔
Hope Mrs Pete is better today @peteblue .
Have a good day, all.💙

Thanks G, my wife is absolutely fine today. It’s was really weird tbh as in 51 years of marriage I can only remember her being sick sick two or three times with the last one probably 45 years ago. It must have been the salmon which I believe only she had (I was doing the fireworks). But she slept really well and now seems in fine form……

Hello everybody. It's been another mild, rain free day today. Son has gone back to Nottingham - it was really nice to see him and we had a lovely night last night just chilling and having a few drinks.. The cat was overjoyed to see him. He was always her favourite and as sooon as she heard his voice she ran downstairs to see hin and then sat on his knee at every available opportunity. I went to the gym after he left - hoping to undo some of last night's excesses.

I'm really looking forward to joining my new tean tomorrow and doing something a bit different. I was also becoming very stressed in the team I was in. There has never had an issue with my work. I hope you don't think I'm bragging but I am consistently the highest performing caseworker in the team and I've only had one high risk error (where I didn't bar somebody who QA thought should have been barred. I still think I was right 🤣 ) in eight and a half years. My last two annual appraisals have been 'outstanding'. About eight months ago we got a new team manager. Everything I have sent to her she has sent back with something wrong even if she agreed with the decision. She's disagreed with my decisons - of the five I've asked to be referred to the next grade up the result is 4-1 in my favour. I had got to the point where I don't know my ar*e fron my elbow, and I'm overthinking everything. So much so that in October I've only closed three referrals. I usually do anywhere bewteen 8 and 12. So I can't wait to get away from her.

Anyway apologies for the moaning. Let's move on to better things. I thought we did alright yesterday. Would you have taken four points and a cup quarter final spot at the beginning of the week. I would. I think I'm with @fandjango - In Dyche we trust. He's definitely getting there, we look mentally stronger and his management of DCL has been really good - actually giving him time to recover.

I'm meeting one of my friends on Wednesday for one of our regular pie, chips and mushy pea lunches. That will also be fun but may also require additional gym time.

So glad Mrs Pete is feeling better @peteblue . I hope the helping your friend went well @Gwladysover - you' re a good egg!
Have a lovely Sunday evening all x

Good to hear you had a great time with your son, were any wedding plans discussed? The house move went well thanks. We have offered to go back tomorrow and help clean the one they have just vacated because we are such good eggs either that or our brains are scrambled! Good luck with the new job tomorrow, you’ll smash it.

They have pretty much got it sorted. Very small - just parents and siblings attending. so 10 people including them. They are having the wedding itself in a place called Chapel on the hill in Nottingham. They have rented a house for everybody to stay the night and have hired a chef to come and cook a meal in the house after the wedding. It should be lovely. Future daughter in law has already picked her dress.
