Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning everyone. Bit nippy this morning but no signs of snow for us - loving the snow pics. Lazy morning for me before we set off for GP. Don’t know what to expect from today on or off the field but it will be highly charged atmosphere I’m sure of that. At 63 I’m contemplating going on my first ever protest march- the older I get the more of an angry old woman I’m becoming.
You don't have to be an old woman !!!!!! Victor has nothing on me when I am in full flow .

I love a good march! Been on a few TUC demos in London. I've also taken the kids when they were younger on much smaller local demos -usually anti austerity ones. This resulted in one of them saying ' Why can't we just be a normal family and go shopping on a Saturday' However they never turned down the opportunity to come.🤣

Hi folks. It's freezing here. My car temp says 3°C but it feels colder. Lots of frost this morning. I've just put the heating on. While I was working ( my son's old bedroom so bed still there) I hadn't realised that my cardi that was over the back of the computer chair was dangling on the bed. Somebody took a shine to it!

Looking very cosy too

Morning all, wet and miserable here, rain forecast all day. Trip into town this morning . Went into Boots last week to buy some perfume for a Christmas present to be told they sell it but only online. I’d rather not pay £3.95 postage, it’s okay you can click and collect, so it’s back to Boots we go aaargh!
Have a good day, all.💙

I’ve noticed that delivery charges seem to have gone up recently- or that’s my perception of things. I sent a nail varnish to my friend in London for her birthday earlier this month. After the palaver of it being classed as a dangerous substance (who knew) I paid for first class (aim next day delivery) - it arrived a week later too late for her birthday 🤷‍♀️. If online shopping goes to pot what do we do as like most town centres, I imagine, we’ve no shops left here. Even M and S went and left us, replaced with a food hall on a retail outlet out of the town centre. I’m happy doing on line shopping but I do like a mooch round the shops and I’m a very tactile shopper - feeling the material, checking whether it creases or not etc 😂

G‘d day all. Back down to earth with a bump footie wise yesterday , still a long way to go this season. A bright spot late evening when the Scottish Cup fourth round draw pitched two mighty teams against each other , Celtic v Buckie Thistle ! I must admit I’m not fond of travelling to Glasgae these days ( 4 hour car journey) but going to have to make an effort I think . ‘Mon i Jags 🙂

Hello everybody. Bit of a disappointment yesterday, the scoreline really flattered Man Utd. I knew it wasn't going to be our day as soon as that goal went in. As for VAR, isn't it supposed to be for clear and obvious errors. If you can't decide in 30 seconds then it isn't clear and obvious.
I've been reading that we have snow forecast later this week and that temperatures are going to plummet. I hope not, I'm going to a Christening in Liverpool on Sunday so don't fancy the drive if it's snowy.
Disaster struck yesterday - the washing machine died. Managed to get somebody to come out and look this morning and its condition is terminal. So, new one ordered today, Black Friday/Cyber Monday certainly came in handy.

I'll be making prawn curry tonight. Very much looking forward to that. Other than that - no news.

Have a lovely evening.

Queensgate shopping centre is ok, though my favourite shop, John Lewis, closed and hasn’t been replaced. The city centre is mainly restaurants and cafes, just the odd shop like B&M and WH Smith, it’s almost as if they are forcing you online.
