Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Be careful of private hospitals for major surgery- no A and E facilities means it’s off to your local NHS if things go belly up. I know it’s nice to have your own room and feel pampered tho ☺️, not that I’ve ever experienced that. If I had to chose I’d be asking for data on clinical outcomes x
Exactly this. i'd be asking for clinical stats too.

Hi guys. I hope you are all OK. @Terrarian you have really made me smile today. @Barnfred 55 It is absolutely freezing up here - frost on the last two mornings and the heating on. It's nearly May for crying out loud!
Son has got the date for his operation - 29 April so not long to wait and it will give him a few weeks before the wedding to recover. Keep everything crossed for him that this will be the end of it.
I'm absolutely disgusted with the FA and PL scarpping FA Cup replays from 1st round next year. Once again pandering to an elite few and not caring that little teams who do well and can make a fortune out of a replay at a big team's ground. The joy is being sucked out of football.

That’s good that the op will be well out of the way and the wedding celebrations can start. We’re freezing here too, even put the heating on for an hour earlier. Football is going to pot, no common sense and just making things up as they go along - a bit like the government 😂

I turned my heating thermostat down yesterday and I'm still sitting in shorts and T shirt at 10pm.

….i had a detached retina op in 2021 on my left eye followed by a couple more in the following 12 months before it was all sorted. A bit concerned on Tuesday with more ‘floater activity’ in my right eye, so I went to St Paul’s A&E yesterday and my worst fears were confirmed, 5 tears and a detached retina in my right eye.

Straight in for emergency surgery at 07.30 this morning, not for the squeamish with local anisthetic and needles in your eye but fingers crossed for success.

Good luck with that I am not sure how I would cope as I hate anything near my eye never mind a needle .Stay strong that man.

I admire your courage. I had the choice last year of an operation or prism glasses to correct double vision, I opted for the glasses, just the thought of an operation was too much. Wishing you all the best.💙

Good morning all on this fine morning ,we are expecting snow again tomorrow! Off to the doctors again today to have my bursa drained and have a cortisone injection.
It has been so frustrating not being able to work given the time of year and how short our warmer seasons are .
I hope all are well and had a good night .COYB
Hope all goes well.
