Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

It was actually the film I remembered was 1973 and that couldn't possibly have come out before the record. I did check with Google before I edited though.
Incredible that Friedkin picked this virtually unknown piece of music as the opening to the Exorcist. Album sales rocketed on the back of it.

I think it was released as a single in the states but Oldfield was really unhappy with the editing and production that he recorded a different single for UK release.

Amazing that he wrote it when he was 17.

Sorry for not posting for a few days ,I took a leaf from the" Fred book of conduct " ,I am in despair .I understand the comments saying relegation wouldn't be the end of the world but at my age I see it differently .

You all know about my son and his problems ,well we spoke testerday and he is so upbeat .He mentioned two things that I want to pass on (don't forget I don't live in the UK and this might be common knowledge )

He said that he had taken "The right to choose " which frightened me as I have told about the Belgian woman / euthanasia story ,I was pleased to hear that you can opt out of the NH (If I grasped the fundamentals!) and have treatment from a private doctor !!! Paid for by the good old NH .Upon opting out he had an appointment two days ago and was delighted with his interview which confirmed he has ADHD which was misdiagnosed as him being on the Autism scale ,so well worth the trouble to find a definitive diagnosis .

Secondly he suffers from PTSD , in his case his mind cannot stop going over his troubles ,after the government decided that certain canned drinks had to be made with less/no sugar he struggled to find one he liked until he found"Monster ultra zero sugar " which has lots of caffeine ,for him it has the opposite effect and calms him down to the point he is totally at peace .
Have a great day all COYB

Good to hear that your son is feeling happier and more settled in himself. A family member who required a hip surgery was given the choice of three hospitals for the operation, one of which was private. Guess which one they chose? lol

Be careful of private hospitals for major surgery- no A and E facilities means it’s off to your local NHS if things go belly up. I know it’s nice to have your own room and feel pampered tho ☺️, not that I’ve ever experienced that. If I had to chose I’d be asking for data on clinical outcomes x

Excellent news about your son, diagnosis can be the key to so many options, and I hope he gets the right support and care to help him. Technically he hasn’t opted out of the NHS (unless he’s paying) as these services are provided on contract.
I agree about relegation, I know going into administration is the end of the world but relegation is unthinkable too as our likelihood of coming straight back up seems like slim to nil. I can’t bear to go to the game on Sunday but I will no doubt be there

Yes you are right I messed up my post ,he is indeed having it paid for by the NHS ,he does though pay for his counsellor .
who is treating his PTSD.She is doing great things for him if his present state of mind is anything to go by .
I would be there as well if things allowed ,although I don't go now I will shed a tear when they retire off the Grand old lady of Goodison .

Didn't realise he was that young.

Very true - there’s no profit in A and E.
