Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

It's the Falmouth food and drink festival today and I was so looking forward to it. What a let down. Less than half of the stalls as last year and none of the ones I was intending to spend money at. Was hoping to exhibit at least a couple of new local gins over the next few weeks but you'll have to endure same old same old I'm afraid.
Any reason for the poor turnout?

No idea mate. Last year it was split between 2 venues. It took over one of the car parks which was where the main event was with hot food vendors, a few bars and a live music stage. But they also used the event square down at the marina where local vendors set up stalls. There must have been around 30/40 last year but nothing this year. I went to other likely spots in case it had been moved but nothing. Its only a very small town centre

Good morning all. The day has finally arrived. Being absolutely honest I didn't think we would get here at some points over the last few months. The bride vacated last night to spend the night with her parents so it was just me Mr F and Chris in their house. ( Daughter and bf in a hotel nearby). I'm very much looking forward to the day, it will be emotional but happy ones. My only concern is squishing myself into the 'shaper' foundation garments which are like a mediaeval torture device!🤣🤣
I wish you all the very best ,mostly the bride and groom and may the weather be kind to you all .💙💙💙

Lionel Messi fans on the West Coast will have to wait a bit longer to see the World Cup and Ballon d’Or winner in the flesh.

On Thursday, the Vancouver Whitecaps posted an official statement regarding Saturday’s match against Inter Miami, explaining that Messi and two of his superstar teammates would not be at BC Place.

“While we haven’t received an official update on the availability of Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, and Sergio Busquets for this weekend, we understand they will not make this trip. Unfortunately, we have no control over who plays for our opponent, and it was important for us to communicate to our fans as soon as possible,“ said Axel Schuster, Whitecaps FC CEO.
It was like that with Stanley Matthews back in the day .I will get my coat -if I can find it !

That’s a pity as those sort of events are normally a really good vibe if you get a crowd.
