Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all on this sunny day .I hope all slept better than @Armaghtoffee ,a special maidin mhaith to him. The rest of you mottley crew I wish a normal one and a lovely day to all . I have read the banner over and over and Garry should be proud @Val P ,for the *66 cup final I embroidered all the teams names around a peaked blue and white cap they used to sell outside the ground and I was so proud of that so I have an idea but just that .
We have a Renault captur on loan as the car is back with the dealer ,over three months in and out of the garage and now the inner CV has gone so we have given it back to them until we get another car ,they have loaned this in the meanwhile ,anyway it is my first experience of a hybrid where the engines primary purpose is to charge the battery !It is a lovely little thing but not for us as we need 4WD so of out today looking at an Audi ( which do tend to rot here ) carefully .Have a great day all COYB

Hi everyone, hope you're all good.

I'm coming round to normality a bit more now so will hopefully feel like posting more soon. Lucky you lot lol

Daisy gave me a scare last week, she just fell really ill in the middle of a walk, she had diarrhea , her breathing became shallow and she just flopped down in the grass, it was horrible. She must have ate something, this is why I have to watch her like a hawk when we're out.

That was pretty stressful, other than that not a lot happening.

Have a great day whatever you're doing.

It’s a trend anyway that has happened since Covid. People come out earlier and go home earlier. The takings are not particularly any worse, it’s just different. Saturdays we could be still be open after 1.00am, but now by 10.00-10.30 the pub empties. It’s actually quite good both for our staff and our neighbours, so no complaints from me…..
Interesting, it’s certainly how we do nights out now and sometimes mid afternoon until early evening

Maidin Mhaith blue, biodh la Mhaith agat.

Slept very well as it happens but up early for a long walk before an early morning meeting by video (thank goodness). That has been the best thing about life since Covid in my own job, the ability to not have leave the house to engage with punters and incur the commute in the process. Yes I still do it when appropriate but nowhere near to the extent that I was. It just shows you, good things come from even the worst of times.

Thanks, I am proud of him, as I think if you open yourself up on Social Media it can sometimes lead to people not being nice about you but there’s never any compromise with him where Everton are concerned. Good luck with the Audi, the Quattro system is brilliant.

Morning T, nice to hear from you.

Safe to say that Daisy has a fine appetite but lacks in culinary judgement.

I have told on here I am sure about my wife and cars ,suffice to say she doesn't want some because of an ex(car salesman) some because she perceives the spares are too costly ,some from bad experience and others for whatever she deems unfit -leaving us with a very narrow choice once to factor in the technical requirements .
So it is up to me too try to stretch the very short list .We had a Skoda that was a nightmare from new as a company car but as soon as we bought it the bills came in, the largest of them for 10,000€ that in itself is enough to cancel out the whole VW/Audi group for the missus but a bit of skullduggery and I might slip it past her !

Crickey, that was a heck of a bill! It would certainly make me think twice but cars are so fickle even the most reliable brands can throw up a lemon

Thanks for your comments on the Boys from the blue stuff article - I guess my cover’s completely blown😂😂. Garry is v chuffed with it but why the heck did they pick the photo with me looking like I’m going to eat a meat and potato pie in one mouthful 😂😂. Someone else has contacted him about being in a book he’s writing- I think he could get hard to live with if this carries on 😂😂😂. Seriously tho with our impending grandparenthood I hope it’s something that will be looked at by them when we are long gone and it becomes a part of Everton’s history 💙
Val, that is such a good read. I'm really pleased for Garry that his banner has been recognised.

Morning all, good to hear from you @Terrarian glad you are feeling better. Naughty Daisy, must have been a real worry for you. We have to watch our son’s daxie as she will eat absolutely anything and she’s so close to the ground it’s often gone before you realise and she looks at you as if to say “I sneaked that one past you!”
@Val P hope the author decides to include the banner in his book, alongside the article would make a fantastic addition to your family archive.
Have been asked by grandkids nos. 3 & 4 if we will take them out on a double decker bus ride today. They hardly ever go on a bus so they consider it a real treat. We’ve decided to go over to Oundle, although it’s only 15 miles away it takes 45 minutes on the bus, plus the bus into town is another 20 minutes, that should keep the little blighters happy.
Have a good day,all.💙
