Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Been watching the new Rebus on iPlayer. Mrs J has never read the books and thought it was fantastic.

I've read every one of the Rebus books and some of the inconsistencies jarred with me.

However it was very well done and the acting is for the most part excellent.

Good to hear from you I’m glad you’re feeling better. Oh poor Daisy that must have been really scary for you and I hope she is feeling better also

Morning T, nice to hear from you.

Safe to say that Daisy has a fine appetite but lacks in culinary judgement.

Great to see you back T ,she is a little bugger eating all the poo and that .I hope the curve remains on in upward trajectory and you stay well as for Daisy you have to live with her choice of nourishment unless you find a miracle cure . Stay strong that man .

Hope you and Daisy are both ok mate

Morning all, good to hear from you @Terrarian glad you are feeling better. Naughty Daisy, must have been a real worry for you. We have to watch our son’s daxie as she will eat absolutely anything and she’s so close to the ground it’s often gone before you realise and she looks at you as if to say “I sneaked that one past you!”
@Val P hope the author decides to include the banner in his book, alongside the article would make a fantastic addition to your family archive.
Have been asked by grandkids nos. 3 & 4 if we will take them out on a double decker bus ride today. They hardly ever go on a bus so they consider it a real treat. We’ve decided to go over to Oundle, although it’s only 15 miles away it takes 45 minutes on the bus, plus the bus into town is another 20 minutes, that should keep the little blighters happy.
Have a good day,all.💙
Thanks all. We are better, she has a cast iron stomach most of the time and even after this event she was back to normal by tea-time. That's 3 things in the space of a few weeks now that've been a nightmare and a struggle to get home.

Nice not having football too add anxiety isn't it, although the takeover issue could do with being resolved sooner than later.

I'm trying to get into the habit of reading books again, I've got loads sat doing nothing. So far I have picked a book, put it on the table and looked at it a few times lol lol I've gone for a crime novel by Martina Cole called Known, pretty sure they made a series out of it with Tom Hardy if I recall correctly. I haven't opened it yet though

I'm going to read back a few pages and have a catch up.

I’m also trying to read more books, so many I’ve picked up on a whim or recommendation but never finished . I’m particular bad with non-fiction , I can’t seem to pick then up / put them down/ go again like I do with fiction. You’ve also reminded me that now at the bottom of the pile is the half read “ Tess of the D’ Urbevilles” ☹️, but you’ve now inspired me to move it up the list, thanks 🙂

Heavy going that one BL

Indeed , one day I will triumphantly post on this thread that I’ve finished it 😂
Did it for A level , I still get wake up in a sweat that I've not read it properly.

Fortunately I've forgotten most of it.

That dream ( wish someone could interpret for me ) is a reocurring theme - In another dream I'm convinced that I failed at least one subject in my Law Society Finals ! lol

Anyway off to the lovely little Atkinson Theatre in sunny Southport ce soir to see the McCartney Songbook - had great reviews ( the show not Macca's tunes ) .

Meeting a RS mate who's even more of a Beatles and McCartney fan than me. His wife was a Head of Dept. at Mrs J's school and they agreed to entertain some Scandanavian teachers who were visiting. By the time they arrived ( late ) we were all pissed. They were dispproving until Paul ( my RS mate ) sat at his piano and played Beatles tunes non stop for an hour and a half. One of the best nights ever . He changed tack at the end and started playing Steely Dan and finished with an incredible version of Babylon Sister .

Anyway have fun today gang.

Good evening all. I think I've finally recovered from all the excitement of last week. It’s the first day I've felt fully awake and not inclined to have an afternoon snooze ( I really am getting old!)
Pleased you and Daisy are feeling better @Terrarian. She's a little monkey isn't she. Hope you enjoyed your bus trip @Gwladysover.
I've just been watching England v Pakistan in a T20 World Cup warm up. England were really good. Gives me hope that they can defend their title.

Good morning all. Sun is out at the moment but it's very unpredictable currently. This is definitely the worst year for extreme weather patterns across the globe, I think mother nature is trying to tell us something.

Not much going on today, I shall be spending (far too much) time on Terraria and Minecraft, time whizzes by when immersed in my virtual worlds lol

Have a good Friday all.

Good morning all on this sunny hot day . I hope all slept well and @jazzy got to sleep .I am cleaning gutters today ,when we had a downpour a few days ago the rain cascaded over so they are full of leaves .I did the back of the house a couple of days ago so now the front and side are on the list .I love lists as it gives so much satisfaction crossing one off especially if you cheat and put items on that take longer to write than to do ,E.G. food on the bird table

Morning blue, we will be out later about 8.30 - 9, she keeps wanting to go up the fields but they're still a bit waterlogged, as we tried last week and we couldn't get out of the exit we normally take due to a huge puddle of water blocking the way.

We do between 4-5 miles a day but my legs aren't always up for a longer walk and I am now over the 2year mark to see the rheumatologist , which is a disgrace, it's mad, can't get a dentist appointment anywhere either.

I have a regular handful of people(other dog walkers) that I see and speak to regular and I get the odd stranger coming over to see Daisy and tell me how cute she is(if only they knew her habits haha)
