I do the same up here, I think I mentioned that a lad of about 29 started his own brewery and our pub and one of my mates pub have been supporting him ever since, does some cracking beers…..

Well it's bloody freezing and the forecast is for persistent rain this afternoon, so that can only mean one thing......yep it's the summer fair and dog show.

Really looking forward to meeting and greeting everyone on the gate with a smile , bonhomie and getting drenched.

Well it was worth it, we made over £5000. Sounds a lot , is a lot , but that will soon go in food , vet bills and electricity.

Actually we were so lucky Pete. It lashed it down at Rufford, Burscough and Ormskirk but not a drop at Lydiate.

That said it was freezing with a bitter north wind.

Not much happening here today other than shopping .It does however seem that there are a few parties after the Blues which might serve to prolong the takeover ,not in my opinion the best for the accountants ,no not the one who can't add up the real ones . The weather is absolutely foul here, looks like it’ll be raining all day and most of the week. Of course today is the day the decorators will arrive to start painting the outside of the house as well…….

With all the leaves strewn about from the wind yesterday, and the 7 degree temperature, you would swear it was October. Still, at least the rain has stopped!

Should be a quiet enough working week ahead then a weekend trip to Sligo to look forward to at the end. Famous last words and all that

Morning all, another lovely sunny day with the sun already cracking the flags, well it is somewhere - just not here! Luckily it kept dry for the pre-birthday garden party and we managed to stay outside until 5pm when the hostess declared she was cold and it was time to head indoors. I’m off to take her present to her later which is guaranteed to make her cry for the second year running. This year it’s a photo restoration of her Mum, last year I bought part of a board from the old Lowestoft pier, let’s face getting an old piece of wood for your birthday would bring tears to anyone’s eyes but she appreciated it.
Congrats on the amount raised for the charity @jazzy .

Sad news about Michael Mosley passing away in Symi an island that me and Mrs J have visited many times.

Weather for the week looks pretty awful , when is the summer going to arrive ?

Well, it was a busy day. Wife changed at 6.00am as usual then documentation for Companies House, sign off accountants documentation, visit to the Bank and Bank transfer of monies to buy out three other shareholders in the Pub, update to PCI compliance sorted and now reviewing alternative Debit and Credit card transactions providers. Then it’s change my wife again and take her to pick up my granddaughter from school and drive her home. Get back, relax for an hour then visit to the pub. I’ve done more in part of a day than 777 did in nine months ffs…I hope I sleep well tonight…..
