Morning everyone,

It's a beautiful sunny day , and with good news out of Alder Hey who cares if Everton are crap.

Well my thoughts will turn back to football in a week or so when we are on the eve of the new season.

A morning of chores , housework , grass cutting and shopping awaits before an afternoon of drinking.

Yes that can only mean the visit of Mrs Js sister who does like a glass or three of vino ( actually make that a bottle) and unfortunately she demands the good stuff. No palming this girl off with a glass of Piesporter or Blue Nun!

Anyway it's always lovely to see her and the dogs will be all over her like a rash.

Well, whatever you are doing have a lovely day everyone.

A bit breezy today and I’m glad to see it, got sun burnt on a long walk yesterday

Quiet day ahead but plans this evening to go for a few drinks then an Indian. I could do worse!

Morning all, overcast here but sun forecast for later. Another stifling night meant my insomnia was worse than normal, searching for some new podcasts to while away the hours I found one investigating conspiracy theories. Apparently there is a theory that Finland doesn’t exist, any thoughts @blue1948?
Sounds as though you will have a good time with Mrs J’s sister @jazzy, hearing the news about the girls is just the best way to start the day.
hope the sunburn eases @Armaghtoffee, sure the drinks and Indian will help soothe the pain.

Blue appears to be actually in Sweden as there literally is no piece of rock to call itself Finland - it is a secret Japanese fishing ground hidden by drawing over it on a map.

Utter genius.

So the natural corrollory to that is that when Blue thinks his talking "Finnish" he actually talking nonsense. Yep that.seems right . I can get onboard with that one

Excellent news Jazzy, thanks for the update and glad it’s working out medically for the kids and parents…the trauma of it all will unfortunately stay in their heads for the rest of their lives…..

You’re absolutely right @peteblue, physical scars can heal but the emotional trauma can be unimaginable. I hope and I’m sure that they will get the right support from professionals to address this. I see first hand most times I go to work just how much childhood trauma impacts on your mental health as an adult

Hi folks. I hope you are all having a lovely Thursday. It lashed down this morning but then brightened up and now it is really hot. The cat is sprawled out on sunbeam living her best life. I'm trying to decide if it's too hot to have curry for tea.
Not much to report from the sunny North east. We have overtime on Saturday and Sunday this weekend; it is daughter's birthday on Monday - she's going to Scarborough with her boyfriend for the weekend by way of celebration. Chris had his first dose of immunotherapy on Tuesday- all went well and no adverse effects
Enjoy the evening - tonight I will mostly be watching the Olympics x

Great news about Chris, and I hope your daughter has a great weekend celebrating.

Morning all. Another beautiful day here too. It’s coincidental that I’m making a curry too today and we had exactly the same conversation ie is it too hot, well they have it in India . Son and hubby still working hard on his garden- there’s stones, soil, gabions (?!) all over everywhere, not to mention a wall that’s collapsed into the stream behind. Nightmare of a job. But at least he’s out from under the feet and I can crack on with my jobs. Have a great Friday everyone
