Evening everyone, a little anecdote that may bring you a smile. Grandkids 3 & 4 playing in the pool this afternoon with an inflatable alligator. Jess “ I’ll be a mermaid and pretend the alligator attacks you Hannah. I’ll climb on its back and rescue you. Oh I forgot I’m a mermaid, I can’t climb, I don’t have any legs!”

A couple of you have asked and I now have an update on my mate's granddaughters that I am delighted to share.

The youngest should be going home from Alder Hey tomorrow. The eldest is out of danger and slowly improving.

Excellent news Jazzy, thanks for the update and glad it’s working out medically for the kids and parents…the trauma of it all will unfortunately stay in their heads for the rest of their lives…..

Hi folks. I hope you are all having a lovely Thursday. It lashed down this morning but then brightened up and now it is really hot. The cat is sprawled out on sunbeam living her best life. I'm trying to decide if it's too hot to have curry for tea.
Not much to report from the sunny North east. We have overtime on Saturday and Sunday this weekend; it is daughter's birthday on Monday - she's going to Scarborough with her boyfriend for the weekend by way of celebration. Chris had his first dose of immunotherapy on Tuesday- all went well and no adverse effects
Enjoy the evening - tonight I will mostly be watching the Olympics x

Very happy to hear that they are improving, know the mental scars will need to be addressed along with the physical ones but am sure they will get the very best of care. Sending hugs to them and to you, such a shocking and awful event.

Lovely photo Jazzy…just hope all of the others come through it as well. I know it’s a weird thing to say from a football forum, but when you get the chance in the future, please pass on all of our best wishes during the long road to recovery, I’m sure you’ll find the appropriate words…..
