Sorry BL. When I was 12 I was listening to Black Sabbath, Hawkwind, Yes, Genesis and Pink Floyd. I somehow must have missed that one.

I really need to give them a proper listen sometime. What's up is one of my fave songs ever and i don't think I've heard anything else by them. She was a huge influence on Pink apparently.

You prompted me to watch Whats Up on YouTube and I noticed it's had over 1.8 billion views. Obviously I'm not the only one that loves it.
It’s timeless and I always associate it with Crash Test Dummies for whatever reason. Presumably local DJs played them consecutively when I was out

And yes I can concur. It's virtually impossible to write a totally unique song these days, not one that's pleasant to the ear anyway. I've been scratching my head thinking what Charli XCX's current number 1 reminded me of and it came to me today.
