Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Is that the one that used to be the old Chinese restaurant?. I remember going there with a few girls from work (my wife included) on a Friday night and asking if they had a table for 8. The guy's face was a picture.
I visited once with a client and his wife who we had entertained at Aintree.

I can't remember how the hell the conversation got around to it perhaps because we put them up in the Crowne Plaza close by.

Suffice to say when she ( yes she not he ) heard about it she was adamant that she had to go and somewhat pissed we ended up in there later in the evening.

I've never fully understood her motivation but he seemed happy enough to go along with it 😂

Thanks for all the supportive comments guys. Much appreciated. It is what it is. Both of them have come to terms with the situation it seems (despite Peter having dementia it is well controlled and he fully understands what is going on), and my sister said last night it is all about the quality of what life he has left now which I think is the only way you can face this and retain your sanity.

My nephew (who I get on with really well) is visiting from Poland sometime next month so I may plan a trip up there to coincide with his visit. Ambleside is not the easiest place to get to from Cornwall but if my nephew is flying into Manchester I may arrange to meet them there and then get the train with them.

Fred, your sister is spot on regarding how to approach this and it takes strength to do so. Please pass on my best regards and good wishes….
