Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all on this dark morn .I hope all are well and had a good night .
I feel for you @peteblue as it does seem a never ending ebb at this time , there is nothing we can do but be here for you ,I side with @jazzy on the faith side but I also wish that I had a belief that would help in hard times as does @Armaghtoffee . Sadly neither can stop things happening that as Jazzy says come with our age ,so we have to cherish the ones we are left with . Our nearest neighbour who has dementia has now lost 30 kilos and they suspect he has cancer ,around the back of our place another told us two days ago he has throat cancer and he is a lot younger than me .
The karoke that I bought that doesn't work is now up and running and once I tune my instrument will be put through it's paces and a video posted on here .Suggestions on a postcard please
Have a great day all COYB .
Oh what a great game....what Blue should sing next...from an Everton point of view it has to be D Team Things can only get better.

Further suggestions appreciated

Man has been the reason for the conflict, not the religion.

We all are born with different paths to walk but we are always where we are meant to be. Pete is suffering now but he is easing the pain of those around him while dealing with his own. Call it fate if you prefer it to religion but we are all here with a purpose greater than ourselves.
I will respectfully disagree AT , but I will leave it there mate

Hello everybody. How are you all. It's been freezing here today. I've had the heating on. I did overtime this morning and @Barnfred 55 I've just picked the winner of the Cesarewich - based entirely on the trainer having the same name as me before I got married. Not a bad day so far.
Everything is set for completion on Dad's house next Friday. I'm feeling a bit stressed about having to deal with so much money landing in the bank account I'm in charge of as his executor! I'm thinking of going to Liverpool on Wednesday to say goodbye to it. It really is the end of an era.
Not much else to tell you - Chris has his 3rd immunotherapy treatment soon. He's been OK so far, the only side effect he is experiencing is prickly heat. He's got super strong anti histamines which seem to help with the itch.
I was quite surprised by Lee Carsley's decisions against Greece. I can't see the point of starting without a striker when you have somebody like Watkins in the squad.
Enjoy the rest of your Saturday folks x
Wow. Wasn't that something like 40-1. Brilliant stuff. Had problems with my PC/internet connection yesterday so I didn't do any betting but I still watched the racing.

It's always hard cutting emotional ties with something that was such a big part of your past but you'll be fine. The money thing will be fine too. All you are doing is carrying out your dads wishes after all Anj. Presumably this is the last of the estate liquidation so you'll be able to tie things up pretty quickly now. Wasn't one of your brothers being a bit arsey about the financials or did I just make that up?. At least you can get him off your back now.

Great to hear Chris is dealing well with his treatment too.

I’m not sure I can take anymore. The week after next we bury one of my best mates. Then another mate and his wife sat with me tonight to say he has just been diagnosed with cancer of the liver, a biopsy to follow to see if there’s anything they can do, but probably not. He said he’s in permanent pain, he’s lost weight and he struggles to eat anything. If there really is a God up there can you please stop this incessant death toll……
Bloody hell mate.

…..brilliant effort on the Ces. I had a little interest on 40-1 and 50-1 shots but both finished outside the top6.

You are right. The Aussie branch of the family is being very irritating and is now instructing me to make sure I get a good exchange rate- as if I wouldn't. I don't think he appreciates the amount of work me and other brother have put in sorting it all out. My Liverpool based brother suggested we put the whole lot on an Everton win!🤣🤣🤣 I'd rather set fire to it - same result.

Honestly Anj. Send it to him in sterling and tell him to sort out the exchange rate himself.

Can you do that?
You used to be able to Anj. He would need to book a rate with a bank or a foreign exchange company before you send the payment, and they will charge him for that. But give it to him as an option which he can then decline, as otherwise you just know he's going to complain about the exchange rate you get from your bank (which will not be negotiable for you). If he complains about the payment transfer charges too, offer to send him a cheque instead. He may have to wait a while for his funds mind you, and the collection charges he'll be forced to pay by his bank will be extortionate. But you wouldn't know that would you. But at least he'll be able to argue for a better exchange rate..;)

Great to get expert advice. Nice one Fred

You could always deduct executors reasonable fees as well
