Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Hello everybody. Very windy and cold here. @peteblue Im so sorry to hear about your friend. This year has been rubbish for you.
We had a lovely time in Nottingham- we left home in thick snow which disappeared and turned into rain so driving wasn't that bad. The hardest bit was getting from ours in Durham to Charlotte's boyfriend's in Darlington. Once we got through that bit everything was fine. Chris is definitely in a better frame of mind. I'm convinced coming off steroids has improved his mental health no end.
I definitely think Dyche has lost interest. Did you see the pictures of Pickford shouting at the bench to make some changes. Jordan for manager!!🤣 It would be interesting if nothing else. I'm currently watching Newcastle on the TV with Mr F. West Ham are winning at the moment. I'm trying to be empathetic but I really don't care and I'm laughing on the inside! Having said that I can't see the score staying as it is.
You were right about the score not staying the same!

Good morning all on this stormy wet day here ,the snow has mostly gone and it will be above 0° for days at least ,I think I will soon need banana plants figs and citrus in the garden .Almost certainly the hottest year on record here .
I hope all are well and had a good night ,the fact I an posting now means there is a chance @peteblue has altough it must be hard for him to get any sleep at the moment . Have a great day all COYB

Disgusting service not surprised you haven’t been back and you are right it is easier to buy on Amazon and much cheaper too. You can’t beat the smell of a bookshop though, I just love the smell of a new book. And yes I do know I’m weird.🤣
I do love wandering around book stores , sadly there’s only a Waterstone’s near me , 25 miles away, but having rediscovered the local library I do enjoy a random wander around when I take a book back. As there are rarely new best sellers on view it causes me to look for older books that I may have missed and discover them .

Libraries....I've not been in one for over 20 years ....used to spend half my life in them .

Next village over has one , might pop in.

Morning everyone.

Lovely, bright and cold today . Done my gym work , made mum's lunch and time to do a bit of gardening.

Go for it Jazzy! I originally went to suss out audiobooks ( not feasible) and can’t remember the last time I’d previously taken out a library book. I wandered around enjoying looking at odd books, took two out and I’m hooked again. It’s also a bit like our Tesco till conversation, it’s nice to interact with real people who are keen to help you , plus they’re currently looking at closing four other libraries in the area so I feel I’m contributing to keeping it open !

My day at Goodison yesterday was even worse than most.
Prior to the game I visited the fan zone where I queued for a scouse pie which I then managed to promptly drop into a puddle before taking even one bite.
Still having time, I decided to have a look upstairs at St. Lukes. It was packed as usual and some clumsy (and massively overweight) oaf managed to step backwards onto my foot.
Then there was that game to watch . . . with a throbbing foot and an empty belly. 🤷‍♂️
You dropped …. a pie 😱😱😱😱

Afternoon everyone, not much to report from me. Working in Preston yesterday and I’m devoting the whole of today to putting up my Christmas tree and associated decorations. Controversially early for me but I feel the need to snuggle down on the sofa with some twinkly lights. We’ve bought a little tree this year and decorated it with cutesy little woodland creatures and santas for the baby. Although she hasn’t a clue about what is going on she’s very alert to shapes, colours and lights now so I can’t wait to show her 💗.
I hope you all have a lovely and peaceful day 💙
