Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Hi Anj, and everyone. We're plodding along, my headaches are still on the bad end of the spectrum and just makes doing anything a chore. We're ok though, still out walking four times a day come rain or shine.

I think I am out of the swing of posting, I've been reading more than posting, mind you I am just very disheartened with the club at the minute and don't really feel like talking about them. I should still say hello more in here though, I shall try.
Great to hear from you T but I see you chucking out a few "likes" on the main forum.

Yeah Everton a bit depressing at the moment but like AT says you have to hope that better times are around the corner.

Went to the cricket club quiz last night and ended up in the same team as first XI captain. We just stood at the bar paying more attention to drinking than the questions and ended up 2nd losing by a point! All good fun. He's a farmer , nice bloke and as I left said he'd drop a bag of spuds off by way of apology for his performance.

Very mild today and so it's a great time to move 2 very big acers that need more room into the arboretum. Not looking forward to the digging and carrying but should help to clear my head.

Have a lovely day everyone.

Lovely to hear from you, T. but sorry to hear that your headaches still bad. Good to hear you are still getting out even though it must be a real effort. I do so hope better times are coming for you. Be good to see you pop in more even if it’s just a quick Hello. 💙

You have been sorely missed T .Just pop in to let us know how you are both doing ,no need for more until you want to .Which I hope is soon .

Afternoon T, good to hear from you. Keep that walking up mate, good for both the body and the soul.

Love the new Avatar by the way. I have seen quite a few new moving ones on the forum.

We just need to stay up this year and I do believe it’s a new era ahead of us. How many times in a club’s history do they get new competent owners, new stadium and a new squad all at the same time? Twice at most? We are blessed to be watching this pivotal moment for the Toffees.

Now about that staying up part..

Plenty of goals at London Road this afternoon with Posh winning 4-3 which was good and I embarrassed myself which was not.
Waiting for the husband to return from the toilet I received a text message. Not looking up from the phone I was aware of someone with grey hair and a black coat standing nearby and assumed he had returned. I proceeded to tell him about the message. Looking up I saw a total stranger looking bemused and Mr G walking up the concourse.

It's just good to hear from you tbh T.

Evening all, hope you are having a great weekend. Had visitors who came up from Tunbridge Wells yesterday and are leaving tomorrow so been a busy but good weekend. Spent last night at my sons and took them to Liverpool today for a mooch around- obviously they loved it.
I realised this weekend when the new season ticket prices came out that I will be eligible for a senior concession next season which both pleased me and depressed me at the same time.
Glad Posh won for you @Gwladysover - it’s good to watch other teams, especially when they win. Nice to see your posts @Terrarian, keep going and walking with Daisy and I genuinely hope that your headaches ease up for you, it must be so debilitating.
I can’t understand why anyone would want Moyes back tbh. My facebook memories remind me regularly just how fed up everyone was with him before he went to Man U, and agree with @Armaghtoffee and @jazzy that we need someone young and exciting and capable. And the way he tried to asset strip us after he left. How come other teams seem to find them and we don’t. I’m so out of patience with Dyche after trying to support him.
Not looking forward to watching the game tomorrow but as usual I will. At least it’s not affected Saturday 😂.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone 💙

This reminded me of my wife who not long into our relationship sent an email to a man with the same first name ( not common in Finland) thanking him for a special weekend and all that involves ,it was automatically sent to all the bosses .She had many congratulate her over the day even the wrong guy .

And that reminded me of my husband who was messaging a joke to his friend, the punchline of which was “I’ve never shoed a horse but I’ve told a donkey to f*** o**”. But he pressed send to all contacts by mistake so everyone got it including my son’s school, the doctors, the Chinese takeaway, etc. I can only imagine what they thought.
