Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Yuck.

No I couldn't do that mate. I juggle the yolk between the two broken halves of the eggshell whilst the whites run off into a cup.

The chicken is really soft and in this recipe you also coat it in sesame seeds. It's delicious. If you want I'll put the recipe in Sassy's thread sometime soon. There's a couple of things I've promised to update in there when I get around to it.

Fairytale of New York now playing on my playlist. Absolute classic. Especially for all our Irish friends in here.
Yeah please do share the recipe! I don’t have the patience for the egg shell juggling thing - especially as I had to separate 12 today!!

Family has been fed with breakfast and some of them have departed so I’m here again checking how everyone’s afternoon is going. Seems like some of you are way ahead of me on the booze but I’m still recovering from yesterday’s celebration so I probably won’t have anything until later this afternoon, still morning here anyway. But once I do I will be doing a Christmas toast for our mate @messymascot and thanking him again for giving us the opportunity to become friends and aquatinted with one another. He started something beautiful.

Big Bird is prepped now. Trivet of veg, herbs and giblets and a whole BLOCK of butter mixed with garlic, herbs and lemon zest and smothered under the breast skin and all over the outside of the bird.

Turkey, spuds and gravy all ready to go. 3 most important jobs, I reckon, so I can ramp up the beer consumption safely.

Sprouts, parsnips and blini batter & smoked salmon mousse for brekkie left to prep and then I’m done.

Spot on Sassy and eloquently put as always.

I wonder if Karl had any idea what he was creating with this lovely thread.

It is without doubt the best of GOT.

It's a shame it took me so long to find it but I'm so pleased that I did.

I genuinely feel amongst friends in here.

Btw, since we are having a dog and cat discussion today, I wanted to tell you that while in Costa Rica a female young cat began sleeping on our outside couch (we been seeing her in the security camera the hubby installed before we left) and to our surprise our cat has allowed her to do so which is strange as he can be bit territorial. Now that we are back my daughter begged us to adopt her so it seems for Christmas Santa sent her/us an unexpected gift.

My eldest sister went out with his brother Mike when she was a nursing student. ;)

Little known fact abut Paul McCartney. When he was a toddler he used to live in the same road as me in Speke. His mum was the midwife there.
A lady who I do yoga with in Skem says she went to the same Primary school in Speke as Paul and she knew him well.

Must be true she's a lovely lady and wouldn't tell porkies!

Wonderful that you have room at the Inn at Christmas.

A whole block of butter that sounds like a heart attack in waiting amigo!

We enjoy it mate.

Also plenty of horseradish and cranberry to mask the taste of the Quorn.

Bizarre I gave up meat whilst trying to eat a Turkey dinner on Christmas day
How come?

I think he did, he knew how vicious it can get in some parts of GOT and he wanted to create an space for people to be nice to each and supportive of each other.

I feel the same than you, Jazzy. We may not know each other in person but I consider many of you here at GOT my friends and look forward to our interactions.

Clearly found each other, meant to be.

Feel free to post dozens of photos please.

In answer to your first point Sassy it was about animal welfare but today's not the day to expand on that.

I just want everyone to have a great time.

Wonderful that you have room at the Inn at Christmas.
Im actually a bit concerned about what’s happening at the Inn at the moment. While our main cat (Reese) tolerated the other cat while outside, he wasn’t as happy when we allowed her inside the house. The temperature dropped below zero yesterday so we left them both inside the house so hopefully they are getting along and we don’t find a dead cat for Christmas Day
