Wonderful, carer late again, but I have received an incredibly detailed financial assessment form to fill in, which will take an age to pull all the info together and will then obviously decide that I need to pay for everything which I told them I would do anyway. I’m going to cancel all this nonsense today……

After many phone calls I have cancelled the Care visits and will do it myself. We can get back into our proven routine now. I know everyone involved from the hospital, council, care providers are very well meaning and wonderful people but it just wasn’t working for us I’m afraid…..

My sister got me some piccalilli from Harrods ! Have to say it's top notch ; a good job really because it's 3 quid for a small jar.

I didn't go bonkers over Xmas (for a change) so I'm not too bad. Being good tonight too (first gin 7pm rather than 5pm). And the plan is to take it easy NYE too. Basically being boring.

Well had a great day at the Southport Record Fair.

Didn't get Steely Dan - Aja but I did get 1st UK pressings of the Nightfly by Donald Fagen and Kate Bush's The Dreaming and they both sound fantastic.

On the flip side I also got a Cat Stevens which sounds awful , c'est la vie
