Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Cheers mate. With this one I've just been waiting for the bad news for quite some time. A bit surprised it's taken this long tbh. Very sad, but at least it hasn't hit me like a bolt in the same way as the others.
Oh Fred. This is also very sad. So young too. As you say you have had time to process this situation. Still heartbreaking though for all concerned.

Not too bad today thanks Gwladys. Might have the full English for lunch that I put off from yesterday.

Morning everyone. Hope you are well and in good spirits. How are your limbs doing today Terrarian and Blue Harp. Hope you're not in too much pain.

Have a good day all. Can I suggest that you aid that goal by steering clear of the cricket. Don't do it to yourselves.
Hi @Barnfred 55 my limbs are as OK as they can be, it's my lungs that cause me a lot of trouble, leading to reduced mobility.
About to attack a G&T now with gusto so can't complain..... Cheers! Hope you are OK given your distressing situation you have a lot of courage and resolve imo.
Inspirational ?

I had my first proper snog in a disco when I was 13/14. I was in a group of boys and girls from school and one the girls suddenly sat on my lap and asked for a kiss. I'd heard about people using tongues when they kissed, so I decided to use mine to show how grown up I was.

She was a bit startled when I first started probing away, like a kid trying to remove the marshmallow from inside a walnut whip, but her curiosity made her continue.

I then saw her talking to her mate, who looked wide-eyed in response. Curiosity got the better of her mate and she came over for a snog, too, followed by another girl.

I went home feeling like Don Juan, but they probably went home thinking WTF was that?
There are no words for how much I love this. Top snogging!

Cheers mate. I'd be joining you in a nice G&T if I wasn't still struggling from Xmas night. I have plenty of choice in gins. As you will see from the photo above, we had that much gin Cal had to make her own cabinet lol

I'm planning to stay for a couple of days at my brothers when I'm up in Liverpool next month and hopefully I'll catch up with my niece then. We don't see each other much now but she's only 5 years younger than me and we were very close growing up. To say she was promiscuous when she was younger is an understatement and her daughter (the one who is ill) not surprisingly takes after her mum. My niece still holds court now and after Cal's funeral she was winding up my mate (one of the two that recently visited me, and who is a confirmed bachelor) good style. Apparently she went from reading his palm to playing truth or dare, and had him totally besotted according to my other mate. At the Crem I got a massive hug from somebody passing behind me and I didn't need to look round to know it was her. It'll be great to see her again, I'm smiling now at the prospect just writing this. Just a huge shame over the circumstances.

No it's much better in a brandy or gin glass with ice Anj. I'd say 2 parts Baileys to one of Cointreau. The shots was just a party thing we did about 2 in the morning when everybody was already pissed.
I went with the long glass. It's nice, not quite as good as Tia Maria and Baileys but very acceptable. Cointreau is a real blast from the past too - we always used to drink Cointreau and lemonade when we were out on the town and felt the need to appear sophisticated. Mostly in Fletchers Wine Bar if you remember that on Bold Street. Otherwise it was pints all the way.

I don’t think I have actually experienced hunger now since Friday. Double portions of turkey curry today and I can’t move now.

Gonna have to get out for a long long walk tomorrow.
I was going to make turkey curry last night with the leftovers of the turkey leg I was given as a carry out. But I was so hung over I couldn't be arsed cooking anything, so I just ate the turkey meat on it's own cold out of the plastic bag it came in. It was a bit dry but I was passed caring. lol

Not a great fan myself Anj. It's a bit too sickly for me. Think it's the Bailey's so I guess it would be the same with Tia Maria. My sister used to drink Cointreau and ice and that's it. These day's she'll also have a white wine or bottle of beer, but for years it was Cointreau with ice or nothing.

Yeah I remember the name Fletchers, but can't remember going there. I'm sure I must have. What was that other place in Bold Street where they served you chicken or scampi in the basket. Was it something like The Odd Spot.

There is a Fletchers Bar in Liverpool now Anj. It's at the Allerton Manor, which is the old Allerton Municipal Golf Club which was taken over about 5 years ago. It's really quite good for food. Not sure where your dad lives in Liverpool but if it is in the South it's well worth a visit next time you're up. Do you still have friends here that you meet up with when you visit?

I woke this morning from a couple of restless nights due to too much food and booze but did a test just to be sure (before going to my Mum’s).

Mad how much you can knock your system off with just a couple of days excess.
