Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Work hard, play hard. The Cuba Solidarity night was always a good one. So much rum.....as was the Young Members social (I know, I'm not young!) Held in a gay pub with a drag queen running the karaoke. First year we went £10.99 for a wristband which entitled you to as much as you could drink between 7pm and 11pm. That was carnage. If he was dead Jon Bon Jovi would have been turning in his grave at my rendition of Living On A Prayer!
Hi Ange...which dept did you work in? Was that Cspa or pcs union?

There were so many great Liverpool Bands from the 80s. We've had The Lotus Eaters, OMD and The Flock of Seagulls, but there was also Echo and the Bunnymen, The Mighty Wah, The Teardrop Explodes, The Icicle works, China Crisis, Black, It's Immaterial, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Dead or Alive, and towards the end of the 80s bands like The Lighting Seeds and The Las. I sure the lead singer from Dr and the Medics was a scouser too. A great band that never made it but were very popular on the local club scene were Alternative Radio. I saw them a couple of times and they were excellent.

The 80s were a great time to be young on Merseyside. We even had the two best football teams in the world. The club scene was brilliant too.
Cast.

How I agree with that. My Nan and Grandad were both born in 1900. They died in 1980 and 1988 respectively. When I think about it, I find it astonishing that I knew people who were born 121 years ago.
Everything is relative ,take me I sleep with a woman older than my gran was when she died !

Just saw this. Boss.

"The greatest " loved the man ,I was a kid and my uncle used to box in the army ,anyway he took this "boxing news " magazine and one day he said there is a young kid in the states knocking everyone out as an amateur his name is Cassius Clay and I watched out for him since then .

One of my friends, also a union rep, is an absolute F1 nut. she went to Spa one year for the Belgian Grand prix. she was a fairly hard core drinker but said that she had never seen anybody drink like the Finnish fans.
A long story cut short but we used to have a lot of parties and I built a bar in the cellar after many hours there was always one guy left at 7a.m. I said this is the last for me but why do you keep drinking when you can hardly see he said "It is free so I have to keep going ! But he left to go to sleep ,when I cleared up i went up to bed and he was in bed with my wife !!!! Fast asleep ,he was supposed to be in the next bedroom with his mate but his mate was spread all over the bed ,so he hopped in with the missus !
I tried to wake him but he was dead to the world ,I went downstairs to sleep on the sofa ,about 8 my wife came down to use the loo and I spoke to her ---the look on her face as she looked up the stairs and back at me thinking what ? who is in the bed then? Obviously she wasn't too pleased and made me drag him out of the bed ..

When someone takes the P out of my late mother who i saw dying of cancer mate how's that a friendly thread ? I hardly use this thread too.....
I understand what you saw but I think it was innocently posted ,another simple misunderstanding .I am sure he never meant to upset you or disrespect your mother .Please forgive a misunderstanding Joey
