Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

They are Sassy and , I can't believe I'm saying this , I'm making my debut this season.

Long story short - I said I wouldn't go to Goodison whilst Benitez was in charge thinking that he wouldn't last more than half a season. Don't think that will be the case now with his power grab , ousting Brands and Moshiri have apparently fallen for him , hook , line and sinker . Sooooooo yesterday when a mate said he had a spare ticket I was sorely tempted and with the weather being so good ( fair weather supporter me ) , not drinking for January ( so I have an excuse not to go into crowded pub ) and not seeing anyone over Christmas / New Year , I thought why not - gave into temptation and agreed to go.

Need to dig out my COVID passport , a couple of masks and I'll be there.

I'm expecting Brighton to play some decent football , have 70% possession and hopefully DCL nicks a goal and we hang on - It's Benitezball ! If not I'll be back on the booos.

Your intrepid reporter , taking Covid risks will report in full on the game later. Interestingly , I'm pretty sure that it will be the first time in absolutely years that I will have watched the Blue boys stone cold sober.
It has not been a pretty watch in most games mate, but it is best to see them first hand when you can! Not many more games at Goodison in the greater scheme of things!!!

Jealous, no matter how bad, when you step off that train at Kirkdale, it's game on, love that walk up there me watching everyone arrive. Have a good day Jazzy.
Being from the other end of the city I get on the train at Cressington, off the train at Sandhills and get the Soccer bus to the ground. I love the walk when you get off the bus- especially at night when Goodison looms into view. Can't beat it. The craic on the bus on the way home is quality too. Especially if we lose. I was unfortunate enough to be at the Newcastle match when we were two nil up in the 92nd minute and managed not to win. Never heard anything like it. Nobody does gallows humour and outraged sarcasm like long suffering Evertonians.

Enjoy the game mate. Hope we get a good win. Don't expect too much possession though. Shocked if we get as much as 40%.

Morning everyone. Wasn't online yesterday, felt a bit crappy, stomachs been off a few days plus I've been downloading. I'm ok though nothing serious. I don't really come on on my phone a lot so if I don't come on, chances are I'm gaming or using the PC. Thanks for asking mate.

Happy New Year everyone.
All the best mate. Hope it's a good one for you and you somehow find a way to help you cope better with your pain

Totally COVID friendly. All those people, indoors, not a mask to be seen. Apparently its red hot in there too because they keep the doors shout in case of any rogue breezes that might interfere with the flight of the Darts. I'm also thinking it must stink!
It’s fine covid wise looking at this pic.
Our opponents on Tuesday were there last night and not wearing masks..

Thanks Fred, I hope to get to a point to return to some kind of work again, it's more my mental health I want sorting at this point. I have so many strange behaviour patterns and ways and personality traits, never really impacted me when I was younger but do nearly every day now and it's taken its toll.

I still feel I can work part time, I worked at Asda last christmas and only left because they were taking the piss out of me, not listening to me when I told them about my health and expected me to work 45hrs a week, almost crippled me they did, I asked for less hours and was told No, so I walked, not worth the pain I was suffering at home.

I want a diagnosis and then hopefully I can start to learn to deal with it and move forward. I seem to be getting somewhere for once.

That’s great news about Mrs. J feeling better, Jazzy. And you going to the first game of the season is also very exciting specially for this one since you will be there for Karl’s remembrance. Hopefully you get to take some pics and post them for us here. Make the most of your walk and of watching the Blue boys stone cold sober as that may not happen again ;) lol

That report on Asda isn't good. I can't believe a large organisation like them have such a disregard for staff, especially those with health issues. I suspect that will not be company policy but just down to local management being both inflexible and uncaring. That should not put you off trying to get a similar job with an alternative employer.

What would it take for you to be get one and be able to get guidance on how to beat deal with your situation? I hope you can get a diagnosis and find some relief in 2022, Terrain. Xx

It was 100% on my manager, she's one of those do as I say people and was a complete jobsworth who lived in the store so expected everyone else too as well.

The best of it is I only applied to part time, my contract was 8hrs a week, she had no business telling me no, I walked before i did or said something I shouldn't.

It was hard enough working during covid in a very very busy store, I was in so much pain at home but i didn't want to be unemployed. However I almost collapsed just after xmas, doing her hrs for 3 months, it took me a full week off before my body could walk properly, so I went and asked(again) for less hrs, she said no, so I walked out mid shift.

I don't want to work for people like her at all.
