Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Did you eat the pastry first ? And the chocolate from the outside of Mars bar ? I hope Mrs J is getting even better today ,not long to go now .
Never understood people who eat the chocolate off chocolate bars first. Same with people who eat the meat on roast dinners first, then the veg and save the roadies until last. Swear they'd do the same with the gravy if they could?

Enjoy your walk @larbert toffee and @Armaghtoffee .

I'm substittuting helping Mrs J re-organise the charity shop for yoga. Should be safe enough as there's only me and her in there!

How are your mum and dad LT ? Presume that your daughter is coming home today. Mrs J said if we lived a bit closer we could pop in and she would do their meals but even for us it would be a 2 hour round trip.
You could do them vegan bangers and mash and see if they can tell the difference.

I'm drinking Yorkshire tea at the moment. Didn't realise they also did Taylors coffee.

My very old fashioned mate won't drink any other brand of tea and brought a box down when he came to visit recently.
No I hadn't made the Harrogate connection but perhaps I should have.

Not had a jam tart since I was a kid. Would I still like them ? Probably. I try to avoid sweets but if it's there I would still enjoy a jam doughnut I think.

Yes mate, my daughter is coming home sometime today, my dad who's the main concern at the moment is improving slightly as his injuries from his fall are slowly healing but he's being overwhelmed by short periods of depression which do seem to be lessening as the medication is slowly kicking in.
Thank you for your kind thoughts towards them but between them they're able to get by with the assistance we are giving them at the moment.
It is only now I fully appreciate the work my brother must put in on a day to day basis as well as his full time job.
Cals brother was the same. He never really appreciated what she (we) did for her mum and uncle. Whenever we went on holiday for a few weeks he'd have to hold the Fort and he was always a nervous wreck by the time we got home. He just couldn't cope. But it never sunk in that this was the norm for Cal and I.

Totally with you on that one Fred the flavours are all meant to compliment each other.

Having said that I can guarantee that when my mum gives the dogs her roast chicken meal today ( It's like a religion she MUST have a roast on a Sunday even in summer - who does that anymore - we probably have 1 roast a month in winter and again at Easter ) they will eat all the chicken first and then the veg and spuds.
